With a bit of conscous effort, he ran his hand along her back to seal in his gift to her. There was a cold feeling he knew that overwhelmed him. Her words, her question, were distant, and echoed slightly. "No...it's not." With a sigh, he let himself fall into the darkness that wanted to take him, and slumped against Lashana. He wasn't dead. He couldn't be. But he did spend a lot of energy on helping this little girl.
