Dawnsfire didn't bother with the cloth, she'd suggested it to Silverfox because the poor girl looked positively ill. Exiting the castle she walked quietly, people seeming to ignore both human women as they moved out of the city. Dawnsfire didn't tell Silverfox what she planned to do, her next stop could very well end this journey before it had even begun. Walking swiftly she finally stopped at a blazing pyre, thick black smoke billowing from it in great choking clouds. Fortunately there was a breeze that kept it from Dawnsfire's face and gazing around she spotted what she'd come looking for. Her voice shook when she spoke, but her gaze didn't flinch from Wyrd's face.

"Wyrd I presume? Tales of you have traveled as far as my own home. I would not dare approach you but ..... I.... WE need your help. Most of my people refused to follow the one who gathered his army to attack the people of Hogoromo. The ones that chose to go with him left without a word of their intentions. I was sent to your Queen to try and form an alliance between her people and mine. And now my people are dead."

Breathing shallowly to avoid the stench of the burning pyres she swallowed sharply before continuing.

"The elves attacked our people without provocation, slaughtering them without giving them a chance to defend themselves. Women and children were cut down like animals and only a scarce handful escaped the massacre. I know one of the elves who was in charge, Lord Adrel. I did a past scrying to find out why and then a second one to find out more. All I know is that several houses from across the continent were there and they decided to butcher us. We thought they were our friends....our allies and they murdered us like we were insects."

Tears began to trickle down the young shaman's face, bewilderment and betrayal etched on her features. She still didn't know why the elves had done such a horrid act, but perhaps this creature in front of her could help her discover the answers she sought.
