 Zenra left Seraph to stay with Emi. She went down stairs, her fingers pinching the bridge of her nose. Last thing I need is a war with the humans again. She saw the girl, and listened to Tyrsis. So that was the girl the humans thought was dead.

"Funny, she doesn't look dead. And if it was Wyrd's work, she would be..."

Melancoly floated on her words.

Vell blinked at Zenra's tone. Indeed many things had changed. Royalty wasn't all it was cracked up to be. He didn't say anything, but he was put at ease knowing where Ryiln was, and he did as Tyrsis asked of him. He whisked off to the kitchen, vaguely wondering where his old man was.

Zenra looked after Vell, and watched him disappear into the kitchen.

>"Someone must have seen what happened with Wyrd, if not Impazael."

She bade a runner over to her as he dropped off his previous assignment in a large barrel along the wall.

"See if you can find anyone that saw this girl be mortally wounded, and saw Wyrd in the same place."

He tilted his head, then bowed, and as runners do, ran out of the castle into the city.

And as rumors fly, it's always easy to point someone to the scene of the crime.
