Subject: CT SCAN UPDATE

I had a follow-up CT scan today (Monday).

I took my films over to my doctor so he could read them. He said that the cancer is still growing. There is a clear increase in comparison to the December scan however it still isn't a lot of growth.

Needless to say this means I will not continue on the Xeloda pill form of chemotherapy. I finished my 14 day cycle yesterday and now I am on a 7 day break. Regardless of what happens, I have to have this break. It is normal in any chemotherapy regiment.

We rescheduled my appointment to see him from this Thursday to Monday, February 14th. At that time he will decide on the next plan of attack. We will also have the official results from the CT scan from the radiologist that will read the films.

Dear Stacy, Sure was not glad to hear that the tumor is still growing. I hope the doctor has a good plan of action to take. You are always in my thoughts and prayers and I know you will beat this thing. You take care and I'll be seeing you soon. Love Aunt Nancy

Hi Aunt Nancy!! Thanks for the prayers. Fortunately the doctor has a week to think about what plan of action he wants to take. I imagine he will consult with the other doctor in his office to decide what is the best course. He usually does talk with the other doctor.

I'm looking forward to the end of the month!! After that we won't have to impatiently wait for your visits... you'll be living here!!

Hi Jenn. My spirits are no different than they usually are. I refuse to believe that this cancer has a hold of me. I see better things to come. There's a reason that the Xeloda wasn't working and I'm ready to move on to the next step. I do hope that I don't lose my hair again but.... we'll see what happens.

will get you a chemo that will work. never mind the hair. this day and time every one that takes note of it knows your in for the fight of your life, and usually has something positive to say, so wear it like a badge of honor. my neighbor, Amanda, that moved to Australia after she had a mastectomy, and chemo, won her fight, and i know you can, too! be proud of your self, cuz the rest of us mortals are mere wimps!

What???? You DON'T want to lose your hair again???? Darn--I was looking forward to seeing you with that hot Grace Jones/Sinead O'Connor look. Put on a black leather jacket and hop on your scooter, and you'd be ready to kick some backside!
