Yes, the more you pay, the more you get, as usual. But there is a limit with PMR446, sometimes even the best radios will struggle to make it 1 mile.. it depends where you're using them. Low down in built up areas or woodland, that's the worst. I'm not sure how 'bad' the 250s are, but I suspect they're probably average for cheapies.
