hi, you ask an opion, i think a 3 month old donkey is a little young to be taken from the mother, if you have shelter maybe if you could fix a little spot so it can stay inside for a couple of weeks and keep it with some good grain and a good rich hay, spend a little extra time with it and after a couple of weeks it will love you and think you are it's mother, i always take a chair inside the stalls and sit the feed by my feet, they are kinda like a child, they like for you to be eye level with them, i have one in the barn right now and she is 4 months old, we turn her loose with us outside and she is just like a little kid, she stays right with us. hope you can use some of this info
