Subject: whydoes a minature donkey dont want to stand or walk

i have a min. donkey hes been founder now for 2 yrs ive been keeping him trimmed and now that the weather got real cold he cant hardly move . now he wont get up and stand or walk . hell stand up for a little while to drink or eat but hes not acting the same what should i do or do you have any ideas what the problem is thank you diana

do you still have this problem... have the ferrier cut shoes out of 1/2" plywood, DO NOT cut out the center, like a regular shoe. cut them to the size of the feet, nail them on just like regular shoes and this should help your little friend. this is great for any equine that has been foundered. the front and back edges will wear off rounded rather quickly which is just what they should do. the idea is that the frog of the foot is 'massaged' which will get the blood flowing and repair any internal damage. some animals can wear these for 4-6 months and never need them again; some animals need them always after being foundered, but they are cheap. a vet in shawnee, oklahoma, discovered this. :) good luck

well did you go to your vet it might have authridious or how the correct way also is any other pet in with it because other pets can really hurt it and it might have a frature in it's leg
