VIRTUAL JUDGING IN MISS USA 2005
”This year the public is invited to weigh in on the contest's preliminary round through a virtual judging component. From April 1 to April 6, fans can log onto www.covergirl.com to view photographs and interviews of the 51 contestants and vote for their favorites. The public's vote counts for less than 10 % of the preliminary vote.
The compilation of these ballots will act as a” virtual judge,” filling one spot on the preliminary judging panel.
A group of beauty industry experts will select the top 15 entrants before the competition. On the night of the pageant, to air live on NBC, the judges will aseess these 15 finalists in the categories of swimsuit, evening gown and interview.
The winner will represent the United States in the Miss Universe Pageant, to be held this year in Bangkok, Thailand.”
Most likely the selection process of the Top 15 of Miss USA will be similarly applied to this year’s Miss Universe (consistently happening). The public's vote counts for less than 10 % of the preliminary vote – this means that our very own Gionna Cabrera stands a chance to enter the top 15! This had been proven for the last 3 years in which our delegates to the Miss World entered the Semi-final round at least (Kate, Mafae and Karla).
It is on this note that we should all unite to help Gionna land in the Semi-final circle and provide an avenue for her to show the world the a Filipina can still regain back the Miss Universe crown that has remained elusive since 1973.
Proper decorum in the other messageboards is in order. Let us all be sober in supporting her, avoiding overhyping and issuing derogatory comments against other delegates. It seems sa voting trend hindi ibinoto ng ibang Latino and Chinese (host) and other Asian voters ang Philippines.
So let us all learn from this so we can regain back the glory of being considered as one of the Beauty Superpowers of the World.
So far here is an updated list of Missology’s Top 15 Picks for Miss Universe 2005.

Basically Missology Got 11/15 correct last year.
Biggest Mistake though was their top choice to win Miss U 2004 = VENEZUELA (she failed to enter the top 15) same thing with GB’ s choice of Ukraine (same fate with Venezuela).
So let’s support Gionna less those overhype.
Go Gionna!!!
