Subject: Where is the eyebrow center exactly?

All the texts mention concentrating on the eyebrow center. Is the eyebrow center really the point on the surface of the forehead between the eyebrows or is it the pineal gland located within the head?
I can understand the eyebrow center as being the "extension" of the pineal gland as it makes it easier for people to start concentrating on something that they can see/percieve.
Kechari Mudra mentions touching the pineal gland with the tip of the tongue. And it takes you to a different level of consciousness.
For those of you who have been meditating for decades can you tell me if there is a "concentration shift" from the center of the eyebrows to the actual physical position of the pineal gland?
Also, is the ajna chakra located between the eyebrows or is it the pineal gland that is referred to? If you look closely you will see that all the chakras are in one straight line, right from mooladhar to sahasrar. So if the physical position of the ajna is the point between the eyebrows, then why is this chakra "out of line" with the others.
A lot of people have mentioned that there is a jump from the ajna to the sahasrar whereby nirbikalpa samadhi is established. So is that jump from the pineal to the crown or eyebrow to the crown?
Is it better to concentrate on the pineal or is it better to concentrate between the eyebrows and then let the concentration naturally "flow" to the pineal at the center of the head?
Comments are welcome.
