If you look closely you will see that all the chakras are in one straight line, right from mooladhar to sahasrar. So if the physical position of the ajna is the point between the eyebrows, then why is this chakra "out of line" with the others.

Yogananda writes that the ajna centre between the eyebrows is a reflection of the medulla oblangata center at the lower back of the skull.
