Maybe you should invite the Supernanny ;-)

Honestly, most of what Supernanny says is not so bad. However I think a wrong approach is that she absolutely and categorical ostracizes any form of beating and replaces it by the "quiet corner", i.e. replacing beating as a last resort with putting children in kind of isolation arrest in a well-defined corner of the house as a last resort. Acoording to my understanding this is not really helpful and makes both parents and children suffer and struggle much more and much longer than a well-dosed spank. But beating should be done only in really very rare and extreme cases as a last resort, and in a way that does not debase the child, i.e. never slapping in the face or things like that, and also never in a mood. In case of any doubt, never beat. The best approach is to really talk much with the children and respect and love them very much, and being a good example in everything.
