(He shook his head as she asked for her necklace. That was the first movement she got out of him during her entire ranting session. He wasn't about to dignify this sort of display with any sort of answer, not if his life depended on it. He would bend her to his will and have her as part of his harem whether she liked it or not.. and he had a feeling she would like it rather a lot, actually. He could see her in the reflection of the glass, and her words had a flicker of arousal mixed with annoyance curling in his gut, and his mating scent filled the air. He didn't release that scent around the females of his harem, it wasn't something he controlled.. and it baffled him that it often filled the air around him so much that even he could scent it. Shaking his head again, he crossed his arms. Leaning back on his heels, he eyed her reflection.) No, yer nay gettin the wee pendant back.. ye gave it to me for safe keeping and that is precisely where it is staying. (She would learn soon enough that dragons were crafty creatures, and that one must carefully guard what they are saying when it comes to handing over precious items. He turned from the window then, leaning on the mantle to look at her in an arrogant fashion.) We are a good three days hike through untamed terrain from the nearest settlement. Note I didna say city, I said 'settlement'. There are no roads leading in or out of Lallybroch, lass.. nay when our clans members can fly. Besides, I have yer scent.. ye wouldna be thinking about leaving so soon, would ye? (He tipped his head, looking at her with a questioning look in his eyes. He took a long drink from his wine goblet, eyeing her over the rim of the glass globe. Some of the other females had fought when they had first arrived.. and all of them became his lover.. this one would be no different.. but perhaps the fruits would be sweeter for the labor he put into obtaining them.)
