So I sent him an Instant Access message consisting of nothing more than "The Smiths: yea or nay?," and he responded, on air, with a succinct and trenchant critical appraisal of that singular 1980s band that proves just how much taste and sophistication lie behind that shaky cornpone facade. It's a shame he talks so much about politics-- this guy lives in a completely different universe than the station's one-note blatterers.
