Now, could it be that anyone who knows news doesn't get it that the people run the public schools through their elected representatives on the school board, and the board's lineup of administrators, principals, department heads, security officials, teachers, etc., and that the PEOPLE can't run anything without information?

Are fights in schools a failure of principals, security, teachers, superintendents, the school board, or whom, and are they repetitive? And if you can't see any fight on school property, on public property is newsworthy, maybe you need a civics class. And add to all that the potential hate crime angle of this against an immigrant in the Trump-charged atmosphere of today, and it just multiplies the significance of the attack.

If I'm in that school district, maybe I pull my kids out of that school in the name of their safety, because someone dropped the ball. But if I don't know of the fight, I do nothing, and maybe many kids are hurt, harmed or worse. Who is asleep at the wheel? Will the assailant be expelled? If not why not? Are procedures related to all this going to be updated, changed, beefed up? What?
