Subject: Strange announcement on The Fan

I wonder if anyone else out there noticed the strange announcement that has been playing on The Fan 93.7.

A male announcer urges the audience "to thank Governor Tom Wolf for his new methane rules, which will make our gas industry cleaner and more efficient".

Personally I don't believe that ANY government regulation is going to make an industry more efficient, but I digress.

This is clearly a political spot of some sort, but a totally unaccredited one. Nobody at the end says "I'm Tom Wolf, and I approve this message", or "Announcement paid for by Citizens for Blowing Out Methane". It's just some dark, mysterious stand-alone announcement directing us to thank Gov. Wolf for some new rule that I'm sure most of us have never heard of.

If not illegal isn't it at least an ethical violation for KDKA-FM to run these spots without telling us who paid for them?
