You are de-emphasizing the connection between the news reader and the viewer WAY too much. O’Really hit the nail on the head with Rick Dayton, not enough personality for a Morning show. The same connection you have with Abraham, Pompeani and Wadas, KD wants every viewer to have with the talent on-screen. Dayton would be a good replacement for Smith. KD could hire a talent with personality to fill that spot. Wadas would not be my first choice.
