I guess I should shed tears now
247 days worth
but I can't bring myself
to weep this time around.
I'd always frowned upon
the thought
and now that you're going
I just show a little sideways grin.
Half up, half down,
as if the action of a smile
needs to be re-learned.
I don't why exactly
I should be crushed by now
but I'm the maker of my own path
and up until 6 minutes ago
I thought I was happy to walk it.
Funny how I'd give anything
to have my cheeks wrinkle
under my tears just one more time.
