Subject: i'm having a bad day..

i just don't know what it is
and i'm such a know it all
and why don't i know it
this one time
that could end up being
the end of the beginning
if I don't decode myself right.
I'm trying to hold on
when i feel like letting go
but..only sometimes...
I'm stretching out for you
but now my arms could wrap
around to china.
you're so distant
and i'm trying to remember
that you really do care
and that maybe eventually
you'll rise to my level..
of maturity, that is.
But I'm reaching so far
and still your mind
wonders even faster
and it seems my heart
is always two steps behind.
