Subject: the first thing i've written in a while, and it sucks, so bite me.

& i'm feeling almost like sidewalk chalk lately,
the way i'm poured on thick,
then left to wash away as soon as the rain comes.

& so i guess i don't have legs
when it comes to walking away anymore.
i stick around,
and i try until i'm blue in the face.

and i hear you laughing,
but i can't seem to pull myself away
from the idea that is you.

it's lonely in this crowd.
