Don't know if this will help but.....
Could you try using a shaped pillow that will keep your head raised but have a space where the mask is to stop it moving around and digging into you.
Maybe something similar to a maternity/feeding pillow that is curved but solid enough to hold its shape.
Don't know how practical this is but hope it helps!
