I have a family member who also uses that machine to keep his airway open. You may want to consider sitting up/propped up when you wear the mask. If you turn to your side while you're slightly propped your face wont turn all the way into the pillow and will keep the mask from digging into your face.

I'm sorry you have this condition. Hope this helps a little.
