  Can anyone explain to me how it can take three weeks to ship a book?? Cory told us books were shipping on the tenth!! This is outragous.   Chris/Blooeysbabe would like everyone to know that she misses you very much, and that you will all be in her thoughts, and her memories. But due to severe illness, she will not be able to return to the website any longer.
  
  As some of you already know, last week Chris went into heart failure, followed by suffering a stroke two days later.
  
  She wanted you to know that she truly cherishes the friendships she has made here. And has had a wonderful time, over the past years on the site with you all, the fun and the laughter have brought such joy to her heart...and to her life.
  
  But the time has now come...for her to say goodbye.
  
  She will miss you all.

  The good news for buyers is currently on ebay there are 5 copies up for sale. Usally, the more on at once, the lower the price, although, your never going to find the book for what we (origanal buyers) paid for it.
  
  My congrats to dara, don't know the statistics, but I believe she may have the most popular paperback of all time.

  Here is the breakdown:
  The books are shipping out– depending on where you are on the roster list, will determine when you will receive your book. I am getting them out to you as fast as humanly possible because I know everyone is very anxious to read this book. I just ask for a little patience here as I am coordinating the shipping of thousands upon thousands of individual shipments. Almost all of you will have the books in hand within I imagine 1-3 week period– many having them coming about a week and so on as the mail delivers. Please allow for this time factor and do not email me during this interim unless absolutely necessary asking about when you will receive your book because I have to check back between rosters and this really takes time away from the shipments. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Of course, if there are any problems, as always, I will be very happy to help anyone. This has not been an easy venture, but we all feel that the end result and getting this book directly out to the readers is worth any effort.   Has anyone here posted anything about Ritual of Proof? If so where?? Will there be a sequel to the book? Also i have a few questions-- so if someone could please reply to this and i will ask my questions.   I'll admit it, I've been a Closet Fanspeak watcher for a couple years now,never got up the nerve to join in or post a message.It's been very interesting to watch some fans staying loyal, some waffling(?) back and forth...nice today,naughty tomorrow..., and some just appear on occasion to bitch and moan about how they aren't having their needs met as quickly as they feel they should. It must fill Dara's heart with Joy to feel so appreciated (she says sarcastically!)No pressure here, just whip out another awesome book in a time frame acceptable by the anxious fans,
  print and send out the books around a hurricane,holidays and printing errors and still keep the spirit...Is this the part where"They'll erect a statue and canonize your name-then they'll flay you alive...Because it is such jolly good fun" (Byron to Rejar)
  Some authors wait years between books, and fans quietly,gratefully await them. Have some patience and faith, what comes around goes around!

  Hi i am bored. My girlfreind dumbed me last night (yea, Christmas eve...it sucked) and I am really bored and looking for someone to chat with. My EX loved dara joy books and always made me listen to her read outloud (her way of telling me to be more like the men in the books)every night. Well because I am bored I thought I would come on here and find out the truth about the men in these books. Is that what woman really want? First off, let me clarify one thing up: Most men do NOT look good if they were to try and look like these guys. Like ME for example. I'd look like a wet monkey in long hair, an albino Tarzan in a loin cloth, the sequel to the exorcist in two differnt colored eyes, and a BAD example of -steroids could do this to you- if I were to increase my muscle mass to the equivilancy of these half cat half men. So, how are we supposed to compete with that?

Anyone have any special traditions that they would like to share? I always make that cream cheese, pudding coolwhip layered thingee. You could have five great desserts but everyone always wants that!   • Merry Christmas, Dara, Cory and fellow MOD Squaders! Let's see...no matter whose house we're at, I always have to make this lime Jell-o, cream cheese, ginger and pear concoction. We always open presents Christmas Eve, and my niece always passes them out, even this year, while 6 months pregnant with her leg immobilized from thigh to ankle from a blown knee.   • The last several years we've started a new tradition of not being traditional. We still like to get everyone together and have quality time, but we've started trying to have different holiday dinners, this year it was Itallian. This year is very bittersweet since my younger brother is being deployed on Januray 5th, and we also spent most of the 23rd, 24th & the 25th in the ICU because we almost lost my Grandma.   Just wanted to update you on the book. The books are printed- well most of the books
  are printed. Has this been fun- you bet! It seems that there are some misprinted books-
  so we are inventorying now to cull out them before shipping, so you are sure to get a
  perfect copy.
  
  We had a similar problem with That Familiar Touch so we are trying to pinpoint the
  problem at the printers. The books are soon to go out and will be shipped in the order the
  orders were received like last time. This was quite a large print run, so please know your
  book is on the runway to take off. We hope you love the book. It was difficult, but we
  hope, an ultimately rewarding process for all.

  Hello everyone,
  
  I am here to bring you updated information about Chris.
  
  Though Chris was admitted into the hospital for what we thought was only for tests due to her diabetes, the doctors have found that her condition has significantly worsened. She has gone into kidney failure, and has been placed into Intensive Care.
  
  She has been placed on a kidney transplant list, and for the time being is receiving dialysis daily for her condition. Thank God for that machine *kisses and hugs dialysis machine* it is saving her life.
  
  She is in good spirits, in a great hospital, and we are taking good care of her. We hope that she will be out and back with us very soon. Please keep her in your prayers.
  
  We love you Chris.

  i have seen a few movies (kid oriented 'cause that's what mom's do). Saw the Goblet of Fire. Just can't match the book :-( but the kid loved it so the magic must be there! We also saw the Chronicles of Narnia. I have to say that even as an adult I thought everything in this movie worked (okay, maybe the professor was a little silly). I loved it. The actors, the music, the special effects were dead on and I thought the movie was as beautiful as Dara's stories. What do you other moms and dads and/or movie lovers think? E. (Still haven't seen Aeon Flux - too afraid that it will not hold up to the MTV series.)
