Subject: Joke - The Outlaw Gang

There was this outlaw gang that had just robbed a bank. They jumped on their horses and hightailed it out of town.

The possee gave chase.

The outlaw leader asked Earl how far behind the possee was. Earl said "I don't know." The Outlaw leader said "Well then, how big are they?" Earl held his fingers up showing they were about an inch apart and said "Bout this big."

They rode for a bit.

The outlaw leader asked Earl how far behind the possee was. Earl said "I don't know." The Outlaw leader said "Well then, how big are they?" Earl held his fingers up showing they were about an four inches apart and said "Bout this big."

They rode a bit further.

The outlaw leader asked Earl how far behind the possee was. Earl said "I don't know." The Outlaw leader said "Well then, how big are they?" Earl held his hands up showing they were about an 8 inches apart and said "Bout this big."

They rode some more.

The outlaw leader asked Earl how far behind the possee was. Earl said "I don't know." The Outlaw leader said "Well then, how big are they?" Earl held his hands up showing they were about a foot apart and said "Bout this big."

They rode just a short way and...

The Outlaw Leader orderd the gang to turn and shoot...he then noticed that Earl wasn't shooting, and shouted "EARL...how come your not shooting?" Earl shouted back sounding very forlorn and said "I can't bring myself to shoot, I've know them since they was (holding his fingers 1 inch apart) this big!"

Hope you enjoyed this joke...its always been one of my favs!
