The rule in Super Street 10.5 on Lexan has been changed to allowing Lexan. Hear me out guys, there have been several cars other than travis email me or call me about running this class but will be knocked out due to the lexan rule. I know of 5 to 6 cars that want to run but would be unable to with the lexan knocked out. That is pretty much half the field at this point. With the increased payouts we are also trying to increase car counts and competition all around. Let me know what you guys think about this I'll be happy to give my side all on these matters, but I want to know what you guys think. what was the point of even havin a rule meeting when travis franklin calls you and whines about it then u change it. where were these cars last yr? this is my point bout outlaw 10.5 cars bein able to jus put the small tires on and run superstreet, if your gonna make it this easy then jus combine the 2 classes and have you a full field because the only thing that wont allow a car to run superstreet is by havin a 4 link, i can safely say that youve prob lost at least 4 cars in this class so if some texas boys bitchin bout their outlaw 10.5 cars not fittin in superstreet is worth loosin cars over than so be it, the NMRA see's it safe enuff to run 190mph with stock glass so i dont wanna here that is the reason. basically i feel that ur catering to these guys so hope you have a good turnout cause i wont kno cause i wont be there. cole your gonna have to draw the line somewhere. if you want to get technical about safety ,the glass is designed to keep the body more rigid during an impact. it would not take alot of work or money for the guys to change their cars back to glass. (NT)	clay	19:54:02 02/08/05 Tue
Safety was not the reason why i finally changed the lexan, I mean like many people have already said cars go 200 mph with glass and have wrecks and are fine. That was where I was thinking at the meeting. The reason I finally changed the rule was generalization. Ive talked to several racers about this stuff the last 2 days anybody who wants to discuss it with me its cool to call me any time past 3:00pm, I dont mind talking a bit please feel free if you dont get me leave a voice message and I'll get back with you. Since we went ahead and allowed the Lexan I wanted the rule to allow Lexan in general so that in a few years when more cars of this type run full Lexan then we dont have to switch it again. Ive added and changed some rules but Im trying to make these rules general enough so we dont have to go through this situation of changing a bunch of rules around .
