The little one, crying despite the fact that she was probably safe in a Weyr, looked up at the greenrider. He wasn't familiar... but he seemed nice, right? She sniffed a bit, then answered.

"Sawwy(Sally) got wost(lost)." She stopped for a moment to wipe her tears on her sleeve and calm down. For a lost four-turn-old, she seemed able to keep a nice composure. "Mommy wanned(wanted) a tell Daddy she'd talk wiv(with) him laters, so I dided, and now I'm wost."

She sniffed, then remembered that not everyone knew who Mommy and Daddy were.

"My Daddy's name is S'peer. My mommy's name is Halzay."

It seemed that, even if she messed up her name and most other words, she knew her parents' names well.
