Don’t look at me with sad eyes tonight
And can you show me one more smile?

It was that time of day that often found the house virtually devoid of all activity - most of the kids at work or out and about - but he wouldn't be able to come by later and had some movies to drop off for Joey and had picked up some groceries that he knew they were getting low on. He parked in the middle of the driveway and then grabbed his things and headed up the path and into the house - not bothering to announce his presence. If anyone was around - they would come to investigate or say hi if they wanted. He left the bag of DVDs by the television and then headed in to the kitchen to put away the things that he had bought - just some of the necessities, like milk, and bread, and soda, and even some lettuce and salad-makings. His shoes had been left by the front door and his jacket was draped over a chair - leaving him in a faded pair of his painting jeans that were spattered with various colors and rested low on his trim hips, and a fitted white tee. He had finished early at work - which was what had prompted this afternoon trip over here - but had some things to finish up at home later that night. It wasn't unlike him to stop by here with provisions - playing the grocery-fairy - every once in a while. He tried to help out as much as possible...
