Subject: The furrow only deepened as he flailed desperately to comprehend what she'd said - he hadn't seen this coming, that was for sure.. so he couldn't understand it. He fisted his fingers a little bit, pressing his lips together and letting out a long sigh. "I don't understand, Lacey.. why don't you come down to the beach tonight and we'll talk about this?" Surely she couldn't be serious on this - there must be something that he could say to work things out.
