• She was sat on her bed, staring out of the window. She'd been spending most of her time today hidden in the library reading and studying- but she was beginnning to loose the motivation- its not like she'd ever get to finish school anyway... it was just a waste of time really. She sat with her legs crossed, staring out of the window... and she was a little suprised when she heard her phone go off under her pillow. She'd burried it under there the previous night...or morning, when she had run upstairs to her bed. She reached for the little silver phone, drawing a soft breath and glancing tot he display even though she knew it would be him. She contemplated not answering...but the thought alone made her feel incredibly guilty... so she flipped it open and brought it to her ear "Hey..." • The furrow in his brow that had developed while he'd waited for it to ring once.. twice, slowly dissappeared as he finally heard her voice on the other end of the line, clear, calm, and obviously okay - physically anyways, as far as he could tell. • She chewed at her lip a little, tears springing to her eyes as soon as she heard him. She hadn;t called him because Jasons demand was still fresh in her mind... that she call him and tell him she couldnt see him anymore. She draws her knee's up to her chest and rests her head on her knees, twisting her long hair over her bare shoulder with a little sniffle. "I was in the library..." • He frowned a little, the furrow returning to his brows - he hadn't gone to bed - he'd gone home, changed his clothes and headed back out to the beach without any rest, inspired for a series of photographs that he'd imagined while they'd been cuddling in the back seat of his Explorer - he hadn't seen his bed yet and his tiredness was making him a little edgy. "What's wrong, Lacey? Do you need me to come and get you?" • She let her brow furrow softly, knoting her slender fingers in her long silken hair as she spoke. "No... I'm okay... I just... " She closed her eyes tightly as she tried to work this through in her head. She just didn't know what to do... she was so torn. "I don;t think I can see you again Ryan... I'll send you the cell phone back...I'm so sorry" She bit her lips together against the tears, swallowing them back as she fisted her free hand in her hair tightly, still burrying her face in her knees. • The furrow only deepened as he flailed desperately to comprehend what she'd said - he hadn't seen this coming, that was for sure.. so he couldn't understand it. He fisted his fingers a little bit, pressing his lips together and letting out a long sigh. "I don't understand, Lacey.. why don't you come down to the beach tonight and we'll talk about this?" • She wipes at her tears as she lifts her head, resting it back against the wall and truing to keep the tears from her voice. He was trying his best not to get angry, but there had never been a time in his life, besides this whole situation with schools and his father, that he had been denied something that he truly wanted. • He'd been pretty much left in the dark concerning her entire situation - and he hadn't wanted to know, because it hadn't effected their relationship thus far, but now he wanted to know exactly what it is. • She ran a hand over her face and let out a soft sigh, dropping down into the bed and curling up on her side facing the wall, hugging a pillow to her chest "I can't tell you Ryan... Thats why they dont want me to see you... cause they know I'll end up letting you into it all... and its not fair to you to let you into it either... but... you don;t have to worry about me... it doesn;t really have anything to do with me... " She twisted a strand of light blonde hair around her finger absently as she faught off tears, trying to keep her voice low too. She hated the thought of not seing him again, she was so attached to him already... but like Joey had said- she couldnt be selfish because someone had "looked twice" at her. • There was no way he was letting her go that easily, and he shook his head, rubbing a hand through his mussed blonde hair. "Lacey.." He didn't understand why she'd even entertained his thoughts of them, let him think they might be able to work out if there was no chance of it happening ever. • She struggled to hold herself together with that... she knew this would hurt but she didn;t think it could hurt this much- they'd barely known each other a month... • Whenever anyone told her not to cry it only ever made her cry all the more... she seemed to live under pretences that if it wasn;t mentioned maybe they hadn't noticed. She just didn;t see how things could work out... if he knew about everything he;d want well out of the situation if he had any sense... and she couldn;t keep lying to him... or with-holding information at least.
