Heard about this thing but haven't tried it yet. I have heard that it works. Basically, you put this (gabbly.com) in front of a web address and everyone else who has done the same thing for that web address will be able to chat with you via some sort of IM thing. My work blocks me from doing it and then I forgot about it when I got home, so I have yet to try it.

Example"
Go to http://www.cnn.com
Then change the address line to gabbly.com/http://www.cnn.com/ and create some sort of screen name and then seek out others (who have created screen names) and you can chat. Supposedly it works great and seems kind of cool. Unfortunately, I can't do it at work. Two of you try it and tell me how it goes.

I love my fantasy NCAA team.

One week until I am in Vegas, physically. I've been there mentally for the past month. It will be delicious to see Dave in Vegas (and cheaper). Am I the only gay one here or is anyone else stressed out about packing the correct ensemble for Vegas? The way I see it, I need 3 pimp "going out outfits" (Thursday-Saturday nights) and one solid outfit for Wednesday night. And I can't choose or I feel that my current wardrobe is inadequate. Sigh.

On a related note, is that last statement the first or second step towards turning fully gay?

Jono, that's a tough one. On one hand you have a brothel that you could reside over. On the other hand you have a pimped out condo where you could cruch mad ass. The only problem with the brothel is that if you were to take a lady-friend home, craziness and/or jealousy could ensue with your roomies. My recommendation would be to rent the condo, and then start getting some side-pussy from the girl. That way you could work on throwing parties at her huge house and still crush mad ass at your private bachelor pad.

the apartment dilemma is quite interesting. on one hand you have limo service and living alone (which you can't beat). on the other you have large living accommodations with a hot chick downstairs. decisions decisions.

so tony or joe (for mt's access to xp), what do you think the best way for me to get my hands on an xp sp2 disc would be?

the extent of my draft preparations has been to make a fancy excel workbook with 11 pages, with players rated from high to low in all the different categories. other than that i'm going in blind. should be a nice waste of 20 bones.

The apartment is actaully a condo that someone owns and is renting out on Craigslist. It's a pretty sweet place right in downtown KC and would only be $800/month. That would pay for everything except cable.

The place has a penthouse pool/jacuzzi, a 24 hour gym, a 24 hour concierge that apparently has a limo service to drive you to and from places of interest, and a number of other cool amenities.

Right now, I'm looking to see what kind of floor plan it is and how many square feet it covers. If it's too small, all of my big shit (5-piece sectional couch, 52" widescreen HDTV and king sized bed) won't fit and/or will look silly, both of which cannot happen.

I also have the potential to rent the 3rd floor of that ridiculous house that has girl roommates (one of which I know is hot) for the same price, also with all utilies included (this one includes cable, too). The 3rd floor has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom a full kitchen and a balcony and is about 1100 square feet (the house is about 4000 square feet in total). It also has a sweet backyeard with a big fire pit that is destined to host a party or two.

Basically, as soon as my new job becomes official (it isn't yet, don't ask- it's all corporate shit), and I get a start date, I can plan my visit down there to scout it out.

Also, even though I've spent hours studying for this draft, I'll surely fuck it up and lose to Lee or Vic (or Lukey, but probably not with he and his 11th pick).

am i the only one who is having major doubts when it comes to the quality of picks in this year's bracket? there are so many teams that, on any one day, could beat any other team in the nation. on top of that, even the elite teams aren't as solid as some of the teams of past years. just this morning i've gone through 4-5 different brackets because i can't decide on my final picks. is anyone else having this problem?

question, how are we doing the draft tonight? i'd go through and read all the emails but i'm far too lazy. i assume it'll be done via aim or something. as i am now a mac-er, i am curious to see if my new aim program (adium) works with windows versions when it comes to setting up chat rooms and such. should be interesting.

so back to work today and i must say, that hour shift is lame. i liked waking up to a bright room. now, it's like stepping back (ironic) in time to the dark days of december, when it's constantly adverse to light.

Drank tons this weekend and am convinced that any bar that was once a church is the coolest thing ever. Went to one in Columbus called Boma and I was mesmerized. Greatest bar I've been to since I went to Tryst in the Wynn the last time I was in Vegas.

Watched all possible basketball games that I could this weekend, too. Things I learned:
- I hate Nevada, Xavier and Butler for not winning their conference tourneys thus causing teams like Syracuse, WVU, Florida St. and Drexel to get hosed.
- Greg Oden is dominant.
- Kevin Durant is a murderer on the court.
- Pitt looked like poop and made G-town look really good.
- I looked good Saturday night.
- I have man crushes on DJ Augustin and Mike Conley, Jr.

OSU has the easist bracket whereas UNC has the toughest, by far.

News to me, but, Poyser, I will try not disappoint. There is one place where we can take care of all of your needs for very reasonable prices. It is one of the best stores in the universe. They have shoes, pants, shirts, belts, etc. That place is Kohl's. I was able to get over 50% of my work clothes there for under $300.

I love how tomorrow's forecast keeps getting nicer and more nicer. 61 is now the current temp for tomorrow, opposed to 56 and rainy as previously forecasted. sweet titties. Boozing will begin in similar fashion to Virginfest. I will awake with beer in hand and possibly have people over at my place for pregaming or doing the same elsewhere. Then I imagine we'll head over around 3 and smuggle as much booze inside as we can. The proceed to attempt to secure soda. Since when is Mandalay considered off the strip? It's practically our neighbor at th eMonte Carlo! I'll be there more than once. The chicks that stay and stroll through there are second to none (OK, maybe Hard Rock).

I'd check out Fremont Strett but only for a little. I've been wanting to "Experience" it just because I haven't yet, so it might be a good time waster some afternoon.

I agree with Hafer for the dress code stuff. I will be bringing my Adidas driving shoes (gay name, but that's what they are called- they even have the goodyear logo on them) for wear during the day but will wear dress shoes out each night just so I don't chance getting turned away. Although I may wear dress pants one night so that when I go to OG, it will be extra special for the ladies experiencing me.

I love all the LV(abbreviation for Las Vegas) talk. A few comments:

The Rhino has, by far, the hottest girls in Vegas. They also have the strictest rules (ie hands under your legs on firmly gripping the armrests. If you guys want to check it out that's fine. Jono and I will be waiting for you at the OG.

The only places off the strip I am considering going to are: Mandalay, Palms, and possibly Freemont Street if anyone else wants to "experience" it.

What dress code are we expecting each night. I know some of these clubs have pretty strict ones. Are we planning on getting dressed up every night?

Sorry for the absence this week. I was tied up in meetings for the past four days from 8a-8p. I didn't have much time to throw a post out or two. I was basically concentrating on sleeping and working. I am really happy its friday - FFF, finally fucking friday. Also, a 300 Friday!

This weekend, I am continuing the apartment search in Philadelphia. Hopefully, I find some place that isn't rat infested and appears to be decent. One can only hope.

jono, i hate you for having so much money. i also hate having my salary provide a benchmark for monetary amounts. it's like saying my dong is 56/1 of joo's dong.

joo, rain is fantastic. the thing to do at a place like that is just walk up to the bouncer and say you want to get a table (we did this last time i was in vegas). you pretty much man up for $100 each (+ tip for bouncer), get 2 huge bottles + mixers, a fancy wristband, seating in an exclusive area overlooking the dance area, your own bouncer, and the appearance of being rich and powerful to all those groveling fools that are smushed in the common area below you... oh and you can invite up as many chicks as you'd like. therefore, i insist, if we go out to clubs like rain we just man up for a table. enough said.

ghost bar is fantastic. great view, great atmosphere, hot fake boobs all over.

- The fact that you said "after hours" is beyond gay. Everything is always open in Vegas. If I have my way, I'll be at the OG from 2-6am every night and then be eating Denny's (right next door) immediately upon exit.

PSV was in Liverpool's group back in group play. And Liverpool owned that group. Nice. I dislike how they don't have stipulations against replaying teams from your original group. That seems gay.

Also, the bank thing I mentioned before was my assumption. Turns out, my card had been compromised (as with many others from the bank) and it was "huge news and all over the TV and radio" and I was sent 2 letters telling me to destroy my card and await a new one and since I never responded, they deactivated my card. Obviously, I got no letters and hadn't heard of such a thing. So now I have to go to the bank and get a new card. Gayness. Also, they were using my address from 4 addresses ago, even though I've changed it every time I've moved.

Jono, you do know that liquid skin is NOT real skin, right? Don't be fooled as I once was.

Speaking of needing hospital treatment but refusing such, I once had this Appendix, oh wait nevermind. There was this one time when swimming through the Carribean (started in Tortula and was on my way to Cuba) when I gashed my foot up on some vicious man eating coral. It was then a race to shore with sharks at my heels. Barely made it. Once there I found the nearest bar and asked for a medical kit, not having one, I was offered rum. First they gave me a shot for good measure and then a healthy dose was applied to my bleeding foot. Wrapped in their finest and almost sterile gauze, I was saved. When finally back to the states I did go get antibiotics to prevent amputation but that was hardly what I would consider medical attention.

I'm going to see 300 tonight. Operation PP indeed. Tomorrow, Shamrockfest will be tried as the weather will be fucking gorgeous. Anti-PP.

Vegas is starting to get really close. I'm going to have to put in some long days next week at work in preparation. Hafer, I'm taking the following monday off so that we have all day to snuggle.

Off to Columbus this weekend to visit my friends down there. Which means I'm off to Pittsburgh next weekend for St. Patty's Day. (You're welcome Hafer)

Taco Bell might be my favrotie food ever. Notice how I didn't specify anything in particular. That was on purpose.

Today I have a problem that I am absolutely excited to have. Twice on my way to work (once to buy coffee and donuts for the fatties at work- coffee for me, donuts for them) my debit card linked to my checking account was declined. Why, you ask? Well, it turns out, so much money was deposited today that they put a hold on my card. I got my normal paycheck today, I got my bonus today and my federal tax refund happened to be deposited today as well, meaning I got well over 1/5 of Hafer's salary deposited into my checking account this morning. Like I said, a problem I don't mind having.

Now to bitch. Because I live in Medina and work in Mansfield and this is gay Ohio I have to pay local taxes in both cities. Mansfield took about $1000 from me over the course of the year via my paycheck, but now I owe Medina $650 because I live but don't work there. Gayness.

Oh well, happy Friday!

Amen to that. Remember that scar on my forearm? I was at a jobsite when a piece of pipe fell and tore a chunk out of my arm. They asked if I needed to go to the hospital, and I proceeded to ask for some antibiotic ointment and a roll of duct tape.

I might have needed stitches to prevent the scar, but the scar got me a few numbers at the gym (before sheJoo) and I got a lot of respect from the guys at the jobsite after that.

is having a field day bashing psu basketball. pretty much, the point he's attempting to make, is that there are too many big time schools taking the airtime of more deserving mid-major schools. i totally agree with him, but i'd like to see him figure out, each year, what schools are worthy of tv time.

it just dawned on me, my earlier hour calculation of how long it is until vegas was an hour more than it really is due to daylight savings time. take that into account.
