I am 100% IN for brackets. I agree about Durant being the clear #1. That boy should stay in another year and bulk up though. Also I am not impressed with Oden's progress through the season. I understand about the broken hand but I don't think the coaches are utilizing him appropriately. With that said, that man will be a monster in the NBA in a couple of years.

I can teach you craps in less than 5 minutes. The hardest concept of the game for people to pick up is that it can be (depending on how you play - is the case for most) a game in a game in a game ....

I always relate it to recursion and since I know for a fact that you know what that is teaching it to you would be easy.

don't worry about craps, just make sure youre not hitting a 12 against a 6 at my table or Ill rip out your balls.

I saw your comment about the $10 BJ and BlackJack was not the first thought that entered my mind. Heaves, Hafer has it correct. You need to learn craps by playing it. My recommendation is to buy/download some casino computer game and start grinding away at BJ and Craps. Personally I have a program on my PDA and I play when I take a dump at work. BlackJack is all about riding out the bad cards until you hit a hot streak. Craps is all about knowing the odds. At a minimum find a website that explains the odds on the pass line and the place bets. That's really all you need. You can also look into the "Yo" bet because I just like betting that.

I have a new theory on Joe's picture. It appears that he was holding Jono's dong when he passed out. That's all I can tell from his hand placement.

heaves, lukey and I started our researching/following of college bball in anticipation for the tourney a couple weeks ago. that said it sucks were gonna be out there for the sweet 16 games. The first weeks are the "money" games in both senses.

also on a related note, who all is in for the march madness fantasy league as well as bracket pool. Lukey and I have agreed we'll run both of these. Just need to see whos in. If youre in for the fantasy league I know we are all busy so I suggest starting to prepare here and there now. anyhow let me know if you are in.

oh and with all this college bball talk one more thing, I think I am officially 100% convinced I would take Durant with the number 1 pick if I was a GM. He reminds me of a more athletic Rasheed Wallace. Once he develops an interior game... watch out.

if you haven't already, when you take music from your itunes library and prepare to add it to your ipod make sure that the songs are in the aac file format and not mp3, wav, etc. if they aren't it's very simple to convert them, just right click and choose convert song to aac. if you want to choose all songs just hit control A and then right click and do the same. the aac format is high quality and takes up very little space, thereby making it a fantastic format for use on an ipod. i went back and did this to my ipod this past weekend. before the procedure my ipod was totally full, no room to spare. after the conversion, i had almost a half-gig of free space. that's a lot. so there ya go, tip number one.

(1) What do you have to lose if you do that Washington Post thing? Chances are, you'd be selected for it because you're young, a highly paid professional, attractive and very single. I say do it. You've got absolutely nothing to lose, especially if the date goes well and the Post has to print "he then proceeded to smack me on the face with his penis and I loved every minute of it".

(2) I'm making all college bball bets based on Lukey and Vic's knowledge. Those guys have been following it much more closely than I have. For every bet I win, they will get 2 drinks of their choice or a $10 BJ/craps bet. I hope they agree to this :)

(3) Craps: Play the pass line and pass line odds. Play 6s and 8s if they aren't the point. That's all you need to know. To learn, go to a craps table when you get there at some obscure hour, ask one of the rakes to teach you how to play, learn from his knowledge, and then tip him before you leave. But if you truly want to learn before you go (not necessary), there are myriad sites that will teach you how with interactive game boards and the like. Know your odds and bring lots of cash and you'll be solid.

(4) Beth looks really, really tiny, which has never been my type (which, strangely just caused me to vomit in my own mouth. no comments, please). Short with stumpy legs and big boobs has been my type. Now, all gals are my type. I shall not discriminate.

wow, the amazing comments are flying today. i find it hard to sit comfortably at my desk due to my clue poking a hole through the underside of my desk. i'll fight through the pain.

joe, you can and will get that drunk in vegas. you aren't going to get mugged/murdered unless it's by one of us because you're going to be around us at all times in vegas. you're in good vegas hands with our group (total visits: chin - infinity, jono - 5?, me - 4, field - infinity - 1). when in rome.

heaves, you cannot learn craps by looking at a website. you just can't. you can only learn the game by playing it. tony and i shall take you to casino royale for a crash course in $2 craps. we all shall walk away rich men. also, do the dating thing. you could land a senator's daughter (aka chelsea clinton).

I got in this morning only to find an email saying my mailbox memory is over the allowed limit. So I spent the first 30 mins deleting 1200 emails. amazing.

MoRocca007, is she a spy? Does she think she is one? She's tiny and hot, more Hafer's type? Up to about 3 months ago, this was your type. Have you completely forsaken the tiny/hot type Jono? Personally, I live in the land of giants. There are more 5'10" women in DC than I've ever seen. This is good and bad for many reasons. I remember the Yeti experience back in Philly. That would be an example of the bad. Legs, that would be an example of the good.

Ok, so here's where things get a bit more interesting for your Tuesday morning. Yes, Hafer, it's really Tuesday. Not Wednesday. Anywho, one of the female partners here (and many others who have fallen to the married club) has decided it would be fun to live vicariously through me and my dating. It is as much fun for her to see me succeed as it is to see me suffer. Thus, her latest proposal which takes Jono's Scene article to a whole other level. It's called Date Lab (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/20/AR2006062000855.html) and it requires you to agree to the publishing of your name, age and picture, etc., in the Washington Post for all to see. You fill out a profile, similar to that of match or whatever but with more specifics littered therein, and then I believe the Post matches you up with someone. You go on the date, the Post pays for dinner, you are interviewed afterwards (separately), and the article is published. Know that the only reason I'm telling you this is because I doubt I'll do it. Work would be a complete circus. However, the thought of being famous (like Jono) makes me smile.

Joe, and b/c Nova sucks this year...I hope they make a good run in the tourny though.

Speaking of Vegas. I need a crash course on many things before I/we head out there. Craps in particular. Hafer find me a good site. Is someone taking care of the researach on the bball teams. I want to make informed bets without being informed whatsoever. My next 3 weekends will be devoted to all things Vegas. amazing.

I am still shaking the effects of last weekend. It was CJ in full effect this past weekend. I CANNOT get that bad in LV because I will get jumped and/or murdered. Getting that drunk is only OK within the confines of Happy Valley. I am pretty thrilled that it is Tuesday already - this week has all the makings of flying by.

Hafer, I too was shocked at the 'cuse win. I have been casually following G-town all season because of my brother. This March, the entire tournament is wide open. Anyone can win the entire thing. It's just going to be the team that gets hot.

Had I remembered to post some of the pics of this Beth character. I'm not sure if you can do this or not, but if you can, you can see pictures of her on match.com by searching her user ID name, which is MoRocca007. If that works, enjoy and maybe post some of the pics on the board for the rest of us. If not, I'll try to get some up tonight.

On second and third look last night, she's tiny and pretty hot. Seems like Hafer's type, moreso than mine, but as I stated before I have nothing to lose here.

Hafer, thanks for the hair props. You've now converted Joe and Joo to "Dirt" as well. I'm glad I got there first (well, first among the converts) as I would hate to look like a bandwagoner.

some good bball games on last night. i'm shocked the 'cuse beat gtown, especially with how much mo the latter had going into the game. i guess that's why it's called march (even though it's feb) madness.

Re: Hafer's last post with the Pakistan-themed link
Wouldn't it suck if he lost the hand because the guy called him pre-flop with shit and then sucked out the cards he needed on the turn and the river? And then, after he realized he lost, he went "Ohhhhhhhhhhh! Man! I can't believe that!" and then started laughing and then said "That kind of stuff always happens to me! I guess you win some and lose some. Happy raping my daughter!"

That would be awesome.

In other news, Hafer, I have not heard of this program. I know the linux community has a program that uses jars to run windows but I haven't heard anything about vista support for anything.

It's cool. It's a non-issue for me and that's all that matters. I believe it was brought up in jest. PSU days came up and he said, "yeah i heard you two kissed" or something to that effect. I agree it wasn't exactly needed to be said but at least it answered that question in my mind. (Yup, he definitely knows, I said to myself). She probably told him that night before I met up with them in the query of who is this guy and how to you know him. She was in my jogging class and decided to pucker up one night at the cafe. Possibly not of my doing but who was I to deny such pleasures after 6 teas. Anyways, that is that.

i am calm, i just think him saying that is stupid as it serves no purpose. that's all. i'm not going to pull a joo and say you rip his head off and bone his spine hole. that'd just be weird.

If it's a non-issue, why broach in in the first place? I would either assume he didn't know (who tells current boy/girlfriends of all the people they kissed?! who remembers everyone they kissed?!) and never talk about it or assume he did know and was secretly jealous, but still just never bring it up. The fact that he brought it up right away was his attempt to tell you to stay away or something gay like that.

The guy is obviously upset about her kissing ways (ohhhhhhhhh) back in college and demanded she tell him of each instance they might run into a former kissee.

Obviously a hug d-bag.

Side note: I made out with Tracie at Penn State senior year. John is her bf who, the first time we met a few months ago, said "I know you kissed Tracie". Awkward and shocked, I smiled and confirmed such rumors. He then said, "I'd be surprised if she hadn't, apparantly that was her thing". First of all, I totally agree with you Hafer on the Beth thing. She's either certifiable or really, really fun. I figure I'll try it out and if she sucks, maybe one of her friends who seem to like me will measure up solidly. I have nothin to lose though, so I'll totally go for it. As for how many girls, it wasn't many. Match.com offered slim pickings and me being very selective only went after 3 aggressively. All three responded back by the time I checked (initial e-mail was sent late Saturday, I checked around 7pm Sunday), but I'd be hard pressed to consider the other two not previously discussed as anything other than tour guides who I would say yes to if offered head.

Anyway, onto the weekend:

Friday we all arrived between 9pm and 9:30pm and proceeded to kill a bunch of Labatt and Killians bottled beers courtesy of Tommy. (The distributors were closed when I got there, hence my non gift baring presence) In the meantime, beer bonging ensued. By the time we ventured upstairs to the keg with MT's crew, Joe and I were legitimately 9 beers deep (pre 11pm) and Joo was well on his way. After pounding some there, we hit up the Cell Block with Homes (in for the night) because it was the closest bar we had to walk through frigid temperatures to get to. At the bar, I have no idea what happened to be honest. Joe ordered 5 RBV and some shots for the 1st two rounds, Homes bought some beers, Evan purchased some shots and according to a brief survey of my credit card receipts, I bought 3 rounds (2 of which I KNOW were shots) on 3 different credit cards. I barely remember being at, ordering or eating my sandwich (sort of remember eating it on the couch while I snapped some pictures of a very rigormortis and retarded looking passed out Joe) and then slept fully clothed with my shoes on to which I awoke and left without changing or applying any fresh smelling scents. It's safe to say, we each had in excess of 15-18 drinks in a 3 hour span, which ultimately led to the downfall of Joe's stomach and sweater, the downfall of Joo's sandwich not at night but gloriously in the morning and my downfall in trying to pick up women (although I was fairly aggressive, my "game" was no doubt slurry and disgusting).

That is all I recall.

Oh, that and Joe's love of my picture taking skills. He knows better now. Ask him (and then witness when I post the pics).

Sorry I meant Laptops (I've got LV on my mind).

The Macs are very nice. The only problem with that is that if you want to run Windows as well, then you need a windows xp cd with SP2 on it. That's the only version that you can run on Mac. The other nice thing about the macs is that they run a linux kernel which means you can run most Linux software (read, free) on your Mac with a little Linux know-how.

The problem with PC laptops right now is that Vista is a resource hog. This is a problem for laptops because they are gonna need a buttload of RAM and new graphics cards to support Vista. That and Vista will be just like XP. It will have lots of problems until SP1 comes out.

My recommendation: if you're getting a laptop in the next year - seriously look into the MAC. It will cost more but those laptops are nice.

(3) She was considered a "stretch" because I wasn't sure what I really thought of her, but figured I'd give it a shot. Maybe the wrong usage of the term. We'll see when I relook at her face.

Good work as always Jono. It sucks (for D2) that she's getting even more attached, especially after hearing the news of your move. I guess she thinks that she needs to get YOU to fall in love more than ever so that she doesn't lose you for good when you move. It's silly how they (women) think.

Rest assured, I know you think we will visit you less than the number of times we visited you in OH. Accordingly, this number would in the negative. However, know this. 2 of your 3 years in OH I was beyond poor and living in NH. The past 6 months, I've been working on getting settled and you were kinda in that weird, too far to drive, too close to fly zone. Now that you will clearly be in the fly only zone (only a 15 hour drive from DC), I plan on visiting at least once a year. Which is actually infinitely more times than years past. Be excited for this.

I remember Tony saying that Macs will face the same problems as PC's since they are now using the same something or other (processor?). Just something Tony should chime in on and clear up when he reads this. I know nothing.

Speaking of xbox live, I should really join up again for glorious Halo. I'll have more time for such things once tv dies for the summer. I hear the summer is the "slow season" in patent law since PTO Examiner's like to go on vacatations.

Lastly, Dumas, AR...awesome for Jono.

are you serious when you say to get a mac or are you trying to send me down a slippery path of doom? i am considering macs because of their reliability, ease of use, and the fact they can now use windows. yea, i have no idea which way i'll go.

also, since i did nothing this weekend, i had a chance to play gears of war on the 360. the game is the tits. tons of fun, almost as much fun as halo. my only complaint is that the game is too short, seeing as how i beat it after probably 7 hours of game play. still, the multiplayer option makes it worth the buy. now i just need to get the thing working on the network.

Are awful.

I'm in the same boat as Joey this morning in being tired from the Oscars and wanting to sleep in my own bed. Lindsay, oops I mean D2, is getting more attached by the second and that is not a good thing. Especially considering Saturday night I spent scouring match.com for potential tour guides to the KC area and was met with resounding success. One girl, who I thought was a stretch, e-mailed me back drunk (her claim) and offered a room in her house with her other 4 girl roommates. I'm not sure what that means, but it should make for a fun 1st few weeks of getting to know the area. The lesson, as always, is that no one can stop Jono these days.

Good for Marty and The Departed.

Pics will go up tonight. I was definitely over the legal limit on my way home Saturday morning. Luckily, my 3 cups of coffee helped while I ran some errands for my ma and then slept through mass and the baptism, dreaming of gorging on the delicious food at the after party. The dream became reality, I had some beers with the relatives and then left PA for OH around 8am to "beat the storm." There was no storm on my drive, which made me angry b/c I had been so proactive in getting up early and not sleeping in.

Reno 911! Miami was pretty much exactly as expected. As funny as the show, but 1.5 hours long instead of 22 minutes.

Craigslist is my best friend right now and living in KC will be ass cheap. Yessssssss!

heaves, merci. i turned around and drove back because i wanted to hang out with the crew in bars, not mt in his apt (since he usually passes out by 11). but again, we will never speak of this weekend again.

joe, i agree with heaves, vegas is all about no limits. take into account:
1) it's one of tony's last fun weekends EVER
2) no gf's for thousands of miles
3) vegas baby, vegas
4) march madness
5) imported boobs from all over the world
there will be no limits, no early bed times, no saying, "no thanks, i do not want to do another shot." TITS weekend is all about saying yes.

ok, dork question time. because my laptop is a pos, i'm currently in the market for a new one. presently, the field is completely open, i'm even considering macs (macbook pro). does anyone have any advice about what computers are better than others? i've looked at cnet, etc., and still there are no clear favorites. help.

Anyways, here's your link:

After having gotten only 4+ hours of sleep last night due to the Oscars, I am looking forward to the end of the day and sleeping in my own bed for the first time in a handful of days. Friday night was just exhausting but I had a great time (I think). At least I have a feeling for where my limit is for when we make the pilgrimage to LV. I am just happy we aren't going to LV this coming weekend - it'd be too tiring.

Oden is still really raw and not too coordinated. I am actually surprised he hasn't developed that much since the start of the season.

Jono, how was the Reno911 movie?

saturday:
me: wake up to phone call from dad about winter storm on sunday, swear a few times, bail on psu

glad to hear scorsese finally won an oscar, although i'm not sure the departed deserved it. but he got shafted in the past so who cares? other than that i have no idea what happened during the academy awards. i was too busy watching patton on amc.

the osu/wisc game yesterday was fantastic.... however, i don't think either one of those teams can go the distance. is it just me or is this the first year in recent history where there is no clear cut favorite to take it home in march/april?

no shit you may say. well, let me reinforce this in your mind.

last night, just as i was about to pass through lewistown, a horrible thought popped into my head. did i remember to bring my id? usually, this wouldn't even be a concern as it's always in my money clip. however, yesterday at work i was filling out an application to psecu and i had to take it out to enter some info (# and exp. date) and, no matter how hard i tried to, i couldn't remember if i had put it back in... well you guessed it, i didn't. fuck. this happened around 9 and about 20 miles from psu. i got back to my place just before 11 and crashed as i was pissed with life and didn't feel like driving anymore. now, as further punishment, it looks as though a fun winter storm is about to crash into the area (ice/snow) so i may not even make it up there tonight. i hate science.

I think the problem with your plans is that it will be hard to find women in SC that are ready to be "courted" to your loins. Those chicks are all about one thing - alchohol. Good luck gentelmen. I expect lots of pictures although I find it hard to be less gay and take massive amounts of pictures at the same time. There's only one way to pose in those pictures, and that's super gay.

Jono is 1000% correct. We really, really need to tone things down a bit for this trip. It's a trial run for the trip that ultimately matters. We need to iron out roles and see how our college games have progressed. Since none of the four of us ever really developed any kind of game in college, it'd be interesting to see how we'd fare now.

1. Tony just made me laugh out loud. Which I love to do. He'd so lose at gay chicken to me if he was there tonight.

2. Speaking of, I agree with the following statement, as stated eloquently by Joe: "When heading out, we need to be friendly and less touchy-feely with each other." I also must say that I generally drive a lot of the gayness among our group. To be fair, I am mostly gay, so it's in my blood but I also can tone it down tonight as the main objects of my gay love generally tend to be Vic and Tony, neither of which will be present. Hafer will be tough to keep my gayness distracted from, but I will do my best.

3. (for good measure) I would like to try a full fledged pick-up routine with the 4 of use if at all possible just to see what's up. It will mark the first time, as a group (although small) that this PSU crew will attempt to court the ladies rather than being hugely gay and all about each other. We'll have plenty of time for that in Vegas (Wait, maybe I have this backards). Speaking of Vegas, think of the pick-up routine as a trial run of sorts for the ass curshing that MUST go down there. I want to have AIDS, herpes and/or Ebola by the time I leave that city of sin.

Tell all the frat mattresses it's a 360 days til THON party and their panties will fly right into your mouth. Also if the party sucks you can just leave and go to the bar.

If we are planning on doing the 1/2 priced Saloon stuff tomorrow night, I'll definitely be back in time to take advantage of that (8-10pm if I recall).

Tonight, I don't care, as long as it starts with booze, continues with booze and chicks and ends with R U Hungry.

tomorrow's plans seem to include basketball/drinking at mt's until bar time. this gives everyone ample opportunity to rest up (ignore the basketball thing) for the night. i propose saloon followed by underage partying. tonight, if mt has something lined up i say we hit cafe quick and then take advantage of the little ones. just thoughts.

That's funny. Hafer and I are the only two board members that have spoken and we have opposite views. What a ridiculous and non-factual statement from someone whose profession it is to not make such ridiculous, non-factual statements.

Just because you've been doing it longer does make you better at it. Your reasoning is making my head hurt. Due to the longness of my arms and my ability to make the picture dead-centered 99% of the time, I am able to get up to 5 people in a lone shot, whereas I recall a number of Saloon pictures where we had heads cut off with only 4 people "in" the picture.

Also hilarious and a terrible "reason" is the following quote: "I have made self-portrait pictures synonomous with Donnie. Come on now, son."

No, I will not come on now and in fact ask you to come on now, dad. That connection has solely been made because you have been the one taking the most pictures during our PSU gatherings. It's a familiarity thing, nothing more my friend. If one was to look at all pictures post December 2006 (or hell, even some pictures when I had my old, much larger and harder to hold in one hand digital camera) with my home friends (where I am the sole picture taker), you will see my brilliance.

I am becoming more and more frustrated as this discussion progresses and fear that resentment may be in my blood by my 9:30pm arrival. So, my comments will cease at this point (unless provoked).

Hafer, let's discuss plans for this evening and tomorrow using hypothetical scenarios involving potential underage parties that MT can take us to. don't forget, I'll be MIA from about 10am on Saturday until 8 or 9pm Saturday night.

If you remember, I was never ever ever ever going to come on Friday for a very good reason. The reason is, if I leave around 5 or 6 the 4 hour trip could take 5-6 hours, putting my ETA at 11 or later, 12 til I actually get to a bar. I'd also probably not be in a good mood at that point and also you fools will probably be drunk and Tommy would be either out or passed out so I would not be able to drop off my stuff. In any case Friday is out for those reasons. The thing I am still considering is a decisive strike by coming in around 4 on Saturday and leaving by 10 on Sunday, which sounds completely awful on paper but whatever.

Shocked, yes Hafer, please explain. I'd be shocked if I knew anything you were talking about.

I was watching Sportscenter this morning and Mr. Unoriginal, Scott Van Pelt, made an ATHF reference. Unfortunately it was not regarding Hibachi's 43 he threw down last night. That man does not receive the credit he deserves.

Hafer, your text last night made me smile. Gracias. And yes, I am hungry. Also, kindly explain the "shocked" comment to the rest of us, please. Also also, don't forget your charger :)

flying to erie from wherever would be much easier, but probably end up taking the same amount of time as driving from the burgh to erie. i did the big haul to the lake while at school and i must say it's quite dull and can be quite painful given the complete lack of anything to look at. the roads aren't too bad, it's just boring as hell. but because you two lovers would have each other it wouldn't be too bad.

an alternative to a rental car would be me picking you fools up from the airport. it'd be out of the way but i know the area well and it would make it easier for you bitches. i'd only ask for roadhead + some flow for gas. i think that's reasonable.

chin, welcome back. nice to hear your face is being put back together. when do you get the teeth put in?

Jono, glad to see we are thinking alike. Rental car may be the way to go. But at a quick glance I did find flights to erie that aren't too unreasonable (just looked at PIT, need to see CLE yet). Hopping on a jumper is about $70 extra. Layover is about an hour going up and 2+ hours on the way home, hungover. If you need/want to save cash and time and think the rental is the way to go then we should discuss further.

yea so im not dead... but dental implant surgery sucks ass. Im not going to be at PSU because Im still recovering from getting my implant base put in on Mon. the incident with my tooth combined with the fact that we are scrambling to get this phase of our project done by the deadline has contributed to my absence from the board. There is a high likelihood this trend will continue with me being on and off for periods of time.

Jono, congrats on the job. Ive been to KC before and its actually a surprisingly cool city in my opinion. You have the plaza as you mentioned and casinos and pretty good music and dining options. And it seems that there is a pretty good young crowd in the city. If theres any midwest city i would settle to live in KC would be a top choice.

Joe I will take your plea under advisement, let it mull and fester for the day and see where that takes me. I do feel much better than I did on Tuesday. I slept til 9 today which helped a bit.

Hafer, hmmmm, nice scenario you got there. They are not paying you for 2 reasons: (1) they are cheap (2) they know you don't have patent experience and view in consideration of "training" you, they will keep the loot you earn them. I know a few people in law school working long distance and all ended up with offers. You will probably get 1 project a week and you can work at your own pace as long as you don't miss any deadlines. The down side as you concluded to is that it sucks working during the evenings. Could you possibly fit an hour or two or three in during your clerkship? Would that be "unethical"? In the end it could get you the "experience" people are looking for on your resume. Would that other place be serious about offering you a job? If so then it may not be worth working for free.

Jono, D2's reaction was completely expected. She's a "slow mover" who did not move very slowly, thus she must be in love. I imagine you talk every day and you see her more than once a week. This would give any girl the impression the she is your girlfriend no matter what you do or say to them. Unless that is you are Hafer and actually tell the girl every other week that she is in fact not your girlfriend. Anyways, leaving will suck for both of you but I don't see the long distance thing working out. You will be in a new area and will want to explore many crevices.

But first, 5 quick things:

1. I feel bad for D2, also. Hafer, you can relax in knowing that I made no offer to extend the relationship beyond my departure and even told her that I would understand if she wanted to cut off all communication at this point. So, basically, it appears that we will continue as in until my move and then "go from there" as so eloquently put by her boobs.

2. Hafer, I agree in totality with Joe's comments regarding your job. See what it would potentially lead to and if it sounds promising, go for it. It's not like you'll be missing out on all of the fun stuff in Gettysburg during the week.

3. Speaking of jobs, I appreciate your sentiments, Joe, but I don't think it takes too much balls to move. I mean, I am getting a good relo package, so that solves any home-owning problems. I'm not tied down to Cleveland for any relationship-y reasons, so picking up and moving won't mess anything up there. Sure, I'll miss friends and family, but I've done this type of move 3 times already and have been OK each time. And, if I want to advance in this company, it's wise to be very mobile and to get out of my region. Hell, I could always come back and take over a high-levle management job here in the future, but that's not happening until the people in those positions retire, which isn't for another 5+ years. It's the best opportunity for me at this moment and there's never been a creep of doubt about moving since I realized it'd be a strong possibility.

4. Now I'm pissed that I have to fly back into this area for 2 out of 3 weekends in late May, early June where previously, I was simply going to drive. My good friends' in Medina are getting married Memorial Day weekend and then Tony's wedding is 2 weeks after that. Automatically, that's an extra $500-600 out of my pocket that I would have otherwise not have spent on airline tickets. This leaves me frustrated.

5. I wish PSU played everyone in the big 10 like they play OSU.

Recent downloads that are awesome (band - album title):
- Bloc Party - Silent Alarm (actually, this is an old download, but I picked up their new one, liked it less than the debut, so I figured I should share. Beware, listening to the lead singer may lead to you catching "black" or "gay".)
- Razorlight - Razorlight (Brit pop/indie- bad ass)
- Built to Spill - You in Reverse (mellower than usual, but pretty bad ass)
- Fall Out Boy - Infinity On High (so damn catchy)

have certain arrangements been made concerning this weekend? does mt have several underage parties lined up for us to crash? will there be a botany lesson this weekend?

as for the job thing, i have an additional lead in cali with an expanding ip place that will have a position available this summer. even if i don't get a pay position with the first place i could hope to land with the expanding firm. who knows?

jono's moving has really forced me to think about being bold and taking the bull by the horns to get ahead. the cali train is really picking up steam. i just wish i didn't have to somehow work out:
1) the cali bar
2) the patent bar (possibly)
3) moving
4) finishing my masters
5) how to pay for 1-4

I am exhausted but I must chime in on a few topics. Jono, you have enormous balls for making such a drastic move. Going from Cleveland to KC is intense. I, for one, don't know if I'd be so mobile. It is most admirable. I kinda feel bad for D2 - see! I am losing my edge. I need to ruthlessly bust balls this weekend. Also, how the heck did everyone wind up bailing on this trip?

Heaves, you now HAVE to come to PSU. Look at the strike force that we have assembled. You just HAVE to. Please think about. Mull it over and then come to the conclusion that you just have to come.

Hafer, I would talk to this place and try to determine when this thing would be paid and what it would ultimately lead to. There is nothing worse than working for free - regardless of the experience. I mean doing patent work is challenging but not impossible. You will pick it up quick.

joo correctly translated marriage. tony shows why the word means what it does. sad. YOU AREN'T EVEN MARRIED YET!!! ENJOY LIFE WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!

jono, can't say i'm surprised by d2's reaction as she clearly believes she's your gf. oh, to be 22 and stupid (a girl). please tell me there was absolutely no give on your part in relation to the entire distance thing. it doesn't work, it never did, and it is never worth it. do not do it. besides, you'll be crushing midwest farmer's daughters, not exactly the type of activity that's good for a relationship.

career question for everyone. i have been in contact with a place out in cali that does patent prosecution work (a field i have interest in but i'm not entirely sure if it's what i want to do). they have extended an offer to me (don't get excited) for an unpaid (that's why) distance internship. pretty much what this means is that they're going to send me work which i will do during the evenings. as far as i can tell i'll be working on biotech projects and possibly some stuff outside my area of expertise (ee crap, etc.). should i take said position for the experience and not worry about getting paid even though i'm broke or should i tell them thanks but no thanks and enjoy my time off?

what is everyone's eta tomorrow? heaves, are you going to be a bitch and bail?

So, it's just Joseph, Hafer, Joo and myself this weekend now? Bollocks. I'm thinking we might have to destroy an underage party if we can.

Hafer, I now know why Craig Bellamy is your hero and it has to do with one absolutely and ironically fantastic goal celebration. Also, it looks like he and Riise have no hard feelings after that sweet hookup that led to 'Pool goal #2. Go Reds!

Tired today due to the amount of talking and crying (not me) that was a result of D2 finding out my future departure from the greater Clevelan-Akron area. She wants "to try and see if the long distance thing could work." (This confuses me for about 400 different reasons, two of which are that (1) she's not my girlfriend and (2) what makes her think I want to do long distance) Sigh. Why must I be so lovable and hard to be without?

Still deciding on psu. Still trying to catch up on life here in the capitol and I fear going to psu would have the opposite effect on me gearing up for Vegas since exhaustion would lead to death. Or I have a vagina. Take your pick. My week will be "gearing down" on Friday. I did get to work out last night and put up 195 on my 3rd set, which kinda makes me happy. Science I'm huge.

Philly, hmmmm. This discussion excites me. I assume you would want to be in walking distance of work? If I kept my job in Philly and lived at the place I was living at, I would have been perfectly content staying where I was (near 20th and Spring Garden). Although, the place I was at was more suited to having 1 roommate due to the 2.5 bedrooms. My place was the only one being rented out, everyone else owned so moving on. If you look up that way, you probably want to stay south of Spring Garden. I remember there being some nice places around 22nd and Green as well but that might be a bit pricey. Having a job and not currently in the city, my eyes would fall on Rittenhouse Sq. It's probably the most variety with the best locale you are going to get. You will be paying Heavener type prices to live there but you will get to roll out of bed and fall into work, you have a ton going on around there, easy access to all parts of the city and getting out of the city. Price is the only down side, but you are single and good looking so who cares. You can also look at the row homes/aparments near Washington Sq. along Walnut or Spruce. A little further from work but you could find something decent. I spent a couple nights there at a chicks place before I started dating Amanda. The quality and space that she was paying for (about $1400 or so with utils factored in), in my opinion, wasn't that great. But you could find a gem in there I suppose. Jen's place also sounds fantastic (18th and Market), and then you could be neighbors and have Tony over ALL the time.

If you are willing to take a bus then I could give a couple more ideas but I really say nay on that. Man up, spend money, live merry until you marry.

Yesterday, I was tied up all day at work. I didn't make it home until real late and just crawled into bed when I got there. Needless to say, I am ready for a weekend. Of course I would prefer a bit of a relaxing weekend, but I am going to have to settle for drinking with you animals. I'd like to see if I could coordinate my leaving with Evan. This way, we'd both have company on the way out to PSU. Evan, let me know what time you are thinking about leaving and from where and we can see what we can do about getting together.

In other news, I think I'd like to see what it's like to live downtown for a year. I think it'd be a decent experience and I am willing to try it out. Of course, that's the easy part. Now, I need to figure out where to live. Heaves, I am looking in your direction regarding this. You did the 'live in Philly' thing once already. Where'd you live if you had to do the whole thing over again and were working where I am working? Please, I need someone to tell me what to do and I am not looking to get married soon.

I hope that everyone's respective weeks are already on the decline and that people are already looking forward to the weekend. Jono, congrats on the promotion.

happy ash wednesday to all who care. i sure don't. science doesn't celebrate such stupid holidays.

so, anyone know if vic still lives?

i am very excited to poop while reading the sports guy's nba all-star weekend story. it's 14 pages, even after i make the margins .5 all the way around. science be praised.

the month of february is quickly winding up... thank god. once march hits you can almost taste spring in the air, people's moods begin to change, and tennis skirts/"the" shorts begin to reemerge (not that it matters here in bumfuck, pa).

anyone else watch the msu v. wisconsin game last night? decent game, but i'm more excited to see the badgers play osu soon. i think msu guaranteed themselves a spot in the tourney with the win.

footie news - zinadine zidane may be coming to mls, either with chicago or ny. should be a bidding war if zz decides to come out of retirement. in other frog news, david trezeguet may be going to the pool in the summer time. apparently, he's promised the manager not to attack fellow players with golf clubs.

poyser is out for the weekend. this is my current strike force list:
1) me - 8 or 9 eta
2) joe - 9ish eta
3) joo - ??? eta
4) jono - 9ish eta?

It was failry uneventful, sorry to disappoint. He called me into his office, told me about the job, said that his boss, my current VP, recommended me for it & all those involved in making the decision agreed. It was my director's job to then come back, tell me this, make sure I was still mobile ("if you said you wanted to stay in Ohio b/c you were getting married or something, then we'd take you out of consideration") and then tell me when it will go down.

"More information will follow" was how the meeting ended.

He did tell me how much promise I had and that those making the decisions immediately remembered me and agreed that I'd be a good fit, etc. So, it has nothing to do with needing to get me out of my current position. He said "we've taught you all you can learn here, so it's time for you to move on."

Cool note: Also, one of the other Directors under the VP I'll be working for is going to be my new "mentor," kind of replacing the role my current director is in right now in that he will look for opportunites and take me under his wing. Get this- He's from Altoona, PA and is a PSU grad, so I'm fucking golden :)

Also, my actual boss doesn't know I'll be leaving her group very soon. And I'm not at liberty to tell her yet...

Aside from the fact that it's a glorious 52 degrees outside, my place is starting to gain some semblence of its former, clean, self.

Jono, you could always rent out your house. If housing prices are that much cheaper in KC then you should just keep renting in KC and slum-lording your place in Medina. That way you will still own a house, but at a higher market value. That way should you eventually see the light and move to the Philly area, you'll be able to afford something out here.

Good luck saying goodbye to everyone. That can't be easy. Maybe JF3 might have to be in KC. Get a hold of Larry Johnson and invite him out. We'll change his mind about white people.

Only a 14 hour drive to State College. You can do it!

I've seen the real estate out in KC and what you can ge for what prices.

Be excited Jono. Very, Very Excited

Positives about KC:

1) Blondes and accents
2) Cheap Real Estate
3) Excellent Real Estate Investment (it's booming)

Negatives:
1) Tornadoes
2) Meteor Showers
3) The Chiefs

jono, how did your boss tell you that you were being shipped to the midwest? did he say nothing, but throw you a cards hat? did he have you come in, sit down, and then sullenly tell you that you had no future in your current position... only to suddenly and quite cheerfully inform you that kc is going to be your new home? or, and i sure hope not, did he just tell you like it was no big deal and then say congratulations and shake your hand? if it's the latter i'll be immensely disappointed.

a quick look at cnn.com reveals that sport killing of homeless people is on the rise. my question is how does one get picked for a team? is there a team near g-burg? i'd imagine the closest major venue would be baltimore (i'd also imagine they'd be very good seeing as how many homeless people they have). lukey is probably the commissioner of the league, given his complete hatred of all things homeless.

Joo still has me owned, as of right now.
No idea what my title is yet, but will fill everyone in as I do.

As for housing, I have no idea how that's going to work out. Depending on how much moving expenses they give me, I might just put my shit in storage for the 1st week and and scout places while living in a hotel and hopefully sign a lease within the week. The good news with this is that when the company relocates you, they give you 3 days vacation time to "look for a new residence" and then they give you 5 days of vacation time to "relocate from your old residence to your new residence." So, that 1st week in KC while at a hotel could be all on company time and not at all taken from my regular vacation time.

Or....

I could use those 3 designated "scouting" days from March 21-23 and then not have to use my real vacation time for the Vegas trip. That would be wholly underhanded and not in the company's best interest, but rad as hell.

Quickly, things I am not looking forward to:
1. Breaking the news to D2.
2. Breaking the news to B, who still e-mails me daily and is totally holding out hope for us.
3. Less frequent PSU trips.
4. Doing the find new friends thing all over again.
5. Weather- they have tornados and bad ice storms.
6. Back to renting for now.

Things that are awesome:
1. Will be able to live closer to work, adding 2 hours of free time to each of my days.
2. No longer having to pay $1K+ mortgage payment every month.
3. Steaks, BBQ, blues music.
4. Continued living in the middle of nowhere.
5. The Plaza- supposedly a bitching young yuppie area of KC, full of bars and restaurants. I hope to become a regular.
6. Working with- gasp!- people under 30?!? Hell, people under 50!?!

I have no idea where I'l be living, in MO or KS, but I assure you it will be one of them. (Matters?)

i believe what tony meant is that jono has now vaulted above you in the race to ceo because he's been asked to relocate and probably will receive a fancy new title (assistant to the regional manager --> assistant regional manager). i also think he was just calling you out as a bitch and that you should show up at his place and make him eat his butt discharge. he's sick so it'll be easier to take advantage of him.

tony, sorry to hear your weekend sucked. that's it.

in work transfer news, my ex from out in pittsburgh (the one that moved to chitown in april) just got and accepted a job offer back in pittsburgh. she's already dropping hints at wanting to get back together... shoot me.

I enjoyed my entire weekend with a nice case of stomach flu. Unless explosive diarrhea and a fever are your ideas of a good time then my weekend sucked ass. I am very upset that my holiday weekend was wasted being sick. I wish it could have happened during the week so I could use sick days instead. Still took today off sick because my place is a mess from not doing anything all weekend and I was really tired yesterday.

Even though I am not a NASCAR fan, I like the fact that one of the cars finished the race upside down and on fire. I think NASCAR should give out style points for how a car finishes. Like if one of the drivers snuck David Copperfield into the passenger seat of their car and then had him throw magic out of the car and into the crowd.

The only highlight of the weekend was going to KOP to hang out with Joe and Van Akin. If Dave can't make it to TITS then that might have been the last time I'll see Dave until he gets back from Iraq in 16 months. He potentially deploys in April to either Kirkuik or Baghdad.

notes about the move to kc:
1) thanks for the boobs and memories, d2 (dd)... now beat it
2) less frequent trips to psu (gay)
3) only the landscape is flat (hopefully)
4) no more worries about hurricane damage
5) super increased worries about tornado damage
6) people speak with a funny accent
7) you'll fit right in with the brokeback mountain crowd
8) kc is a bi-state metropolitan area... hopefully that's not the only bi thing out there (ie new d2)

...but Kansans City.
It's a promotion (not sure of the monetary impact just yet) and I get to work directly for my current VP and the SVP. The details of the job are vague but I'll be working a lot harder and with a significant increase in responsibility (i.e. board posts will heavily decline during work hours).

Also, word has it that I will be getting a relocation package to the tune of:
- A 60-day window to sell my house, put on the market by my company. If I do not sell it within this time frame, the company will have 2 appraisers price it and then buy it off of me for the average in the appraisal value.
- Money to help me move.
- Moving company to pack/move me.
- Money to live off of in KC until I find a place to live.

This will all go down in late March or early April. No matter what, it will not interfere with any Vegas doings.

I am excited and nervous. I shall vomit for the rest of the day...

Skiing was great. I got very drunk friday night and progressively not as drunk the successive nights. Lots of good stories that I may have to input at a later date. Very busy today. More or less a bit tired as well.

I'll start you off with this:

4. wet blanket

After having sex with a girl, you go into the bathroom and wipe the pussy juice off of your dick with a washcloth. When returning to the bedroom, you throw the washcloth on the girl's face. Thus giving her a wet blanket.

Did absolutely nothing this weekend and it was fantastic. I did drink some beers though.

I, of course, will be at PSU this weekend, arriving between 8pm and 9pm on Friday to the Master's pad. I have a major clue thinking about this.

The Bellamy things is disgraceful, but not so surprising. When I was first getting into Liverpool last year, I read about my players and the things said about Bellamy were "short fuse," "bad temper" and "troublemaker." So, there you go.

Speaking of futbol, Champions League Round of 16 games kick off today. Please, for the love of god, do not tell me the score of the Liverpool-Barca game tomorrow. I'm recording it and watching it when I get home from work on Wednesday and would like to be surprised at what happens as I watch it. Hafer and Lukey, this is directed at you two.

Puerto Rico is for gays. Did you sing "I like to be in America" and call yourself a "Shark" the whole weekend?

ok kids, time to get this board back on its feet. i was looking forward to coming back from my trip and spending the entire morning catching up on what was said... it took me 15 seconds. unacceptable. to remedy this i suggest everyone dropping a quick line telling everyone what went down this weekend, how badly they hate this week, and how they're either 1)coming 2) not coming to psu this weekend. i'll break the ice.

so as you know, i was in puerto rico (a rich man's mexico) this weekend. the island can be summed up quite simply, it's a dirtier miami. there are just as many chicks in thongs/dudes in speedos as you'll find in the sunshine state, you just need to travel over the ocean to reach it. everyone speaks english and spanish, everyone uses dollars, and everyone loves plantains. the water may be a bit bluer and the sun a bit harsher, but other than that, it's exactly the same.

so pretty much all i did this weekend was:
1) tour old san juan (think old european town complete with an old stone fort right by the ocean)
2) lay on the beach drinking mojitos

other than that, my weekend was very inconsequential. today i plan on actually doing some work to get the wheels going, picking up my car after it gets serviced, and dream about psu this weekend.

lukey, bellamy is now my hero... oh, and he's about to be shipped off to either aston villa or blackburn because of his little spaz attack... shocker.

This was supposed to be a pre-Vegas trip. For this reason, I am leaving my Ali at home for the trip. The only reason that I am hesitant about extending an invite to the SheJoo is because we are staying @ Tommy's hole in the wall apartment (it is not any of our friend's apartments). I do not want to take advantage of the courtesy he has extended to us all by offering to put us up for the weekend. I am all up for meeting the SheJoo but I am not 100% on her staying at Tommy's.

hooray for one thing today, the fact that i get to leave this icy shithole known as gettysburg tomorrow for the warm tropical beaches of puerto rico. i just checked the weather and the forecast calls for 85 and partly cloudy every day i'm there. this beats the 20 and cloudy predicted for central pa.

so digging my car out yesterday was a true joy. as we all know, the precipitation that fell yesterday was an odd mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain. at least here, the snow fell first, then we got a nice thick layer of ice, followed by one last layer of snow. essentially what this means is that any attempt to dig a car out sucks balls. hard. i found this out the hard way. the plow that clears the little alley that runs by my house decided to pile snow up right beside all our cars, thus making our task even more fun. to make matters worse, the only shovel available to us was a dinky plastic thing owned by my neighbor ron. usually, if the crap was just snow it would have been fine, but the added ice made the shovel bend and pretty much bitch out. so what should have been a 10 minute job turned into an hour and a half long task. not cool. by the time i was done, my fingers were frozen, my draws were soaked, and i was not in good spirits. however, my temprement changed when i realized i was getting paid for my digging skills, as well as for my sitting on the coach trying to find a job while playing halo skills. thank you county paid snow days!

on the job front, i have a bite with a firm in san fran named fernandez and associates (http://www.iploft.com/). the managing partner dude (fernandez, but i'm totally going to call him fernando as a tribute to the gta radio personality) called me yesterday and said he wanted to get me started on a distance internship type thing with an eye toward getting me out there, possibly, within a few months. hooray! heaves, tell your bosses i'm coming for them.

jono, i'm so pleased you got to spend a v-day without spending a dime for once. i'm also glad to hear you loved it. i hope this opens your eyes to glory that is singledom and playing the field.

5. Because of the inclement weather, D2 did not come over for dinner as planned last night, but instead she only worked for a few hours, I went over to her place for some mid afternoon booty, and then she ended up buying me pizza for dinner. Of course, I still have all the shit to make my originally planned dinner which may or may not happen tonight, but a Valentine's Day without me spending a dime is spectacular. i can bitch about the board being silent because i put the most effort into the board's content. so blow me.

yes, i am off today. that means i'll be searching for jobs, watching movies, and downloading porn. be jealous.

i'd say happy halmark day but today is a lame corporate created excuse to spend money on something you should be getting for free. therefore, i will not mutter the cursed words.

Hafer would be infuriated by the boards silence. But because it is he that seemingly has off today, he thinks it's okay not to participate. F-that! I never want to hear Nazi things coming from the board Nazi again. I hope an avalanche fell from big round top and buried him in his own tomb of ice.

In work, working for the weekend. This is totally and completely lame. I gave myself a 1-hour delay this morning. I am still wishing I was in bed. This stinks! Beyonce on the cover of SI - yay or nay?

I'll be going to work today as soon as my igloo of a car thaws out. Hopefully work will be pretty empty today as just about every school has off. My class tonight was close to getting cancelled but Rutgers only wound up with a 2 hour delay.

As of 4:31 this morning the government declared that it would in fact be open today. Thus, with this news my day of working was altered to a day of working without staff who will declare "they couldn't make it in". yay.

Happy Vagina Day for those who have to put up with today. I did my good deed of the day, filling up on good karma for the rest of the week. Snow + my muscles = helping an old woman cross the street. Yes I carried her 40 lb rolling suitcase work thingy across the street since wheels do not roll in 3 inches of snow. Elated, she said thank you. I said, Happy Valentines Day, which was immediately reciprocated with the giving of her moldy vagina. Also, the metro arrived (virtually empty) just as I was getting to the platform, a rare combination of occurance.

I hope the rest of you faggots are open for work today as well.

First off - Jono - TOTALLY agree with you on the whole snow/ice thing. It only makes me get up earlier. Mother nature's a whore; bottom line.

Hafer - EVERTYHING Caruso does is gay, and if I ever meet her, I'm gonna fucking choke the shit out of her. Let her know I said that.

Jono Again - Every time she mentions girlfriend, think of the twix commercials. Handle it like those commercials, only instead twix, use your Jonolong (again, means Jono's schlong), and instead of stuffing it into YOUR MOUTH (I mean, come on, if we could to that to ourselves, NONE of us would have girlfriends), stuff it into hers, and scream "NEED A MOMENT!?"

Payton Manning has trouble meeting girls because he's too busy thinking about guys. Period.

you can hide your entire details section. of course this means you won't be able to tell people whether you smoke, your zodiac, or if you want kids but it also means you keep the relationship status out of your page. what a trade off.

yes, the myspace status bar is indeed very gay. it was that little display that ignited the last crazuso tiff where i had to put her down into her place (again). i'm going to enact a policy of never changing the status from single. ever. if a chick isn't cool with that she's obviously insane since it's only a stupid effin display feature on a web networking site. if a chick gets worked up over something so trivial she deserves to be admitted to the loony house.

joe is totally right on with why women want to be a guy's gf. she's not a slut if she's just sleeping with whom she's supposed to. it's funny how that works.

I'm not worried about the "girlfriend" thing though. It was just an interesting topic of discussion that I thought I should share with you guys.

What's even more gay is that now that MySpace exists, if this does become a problem (it could, but right now it's really not), my intentions will always be known via MySpace. Which is totally gay. Sans-MySpace, I could just avoid the topic and never really have a label or not. Now, it'll be like "why didn't you change your status on MySpace to 'In a Relationship'" or gayness like that. Did I mention this is gay?

Anyway, I'm not worrying about shit now. As far as I am concerned, D2 is cool with hanging out, she's cool with not hanging out, she's cool with driving while I get hammered at a bar, she's cool with geting hammered at a bar with me while we take a cab, she's cool with being fair and always wanting to pay for half of things (or doing the trade-off/you buy this time, I got next method), she's cool with me not commiting about her being my girlfriend and she's cool with f'ing me. If issues develop, I'll hang myself because I am currently enjoying the coolness of the current situation.

D1 hasn't been told anything, but she knows she sort of messed up with respect to the list e-mail. Although we still e-mail and talk every once in a while, she's kind of placed me into this weird role as a person just to bounce things off of. For example, she went on a date last weekend and decided to tell me all about it for the purpose of wondering why she can never focus on the positives instead of the negatives and get past the perfect boyfriend she has constructed in her head (yup- she told me this. apparently, the guy was totally cute and charming, but he had jerky hand/upper body movements that left her distracted). Ridiculous, I know.

In any event, I'm thinking I chose correctly. Plus, D1 can be my concert buddy as she loves live shows and I usually don't have anyone to go with.

Most women want to be your "girlfriend" while sleeping with you in an attempt for them to feel less slutty for having just f-ed you. For some reason, if a girl feels that she is someone's "girlfriend" this permits her to have sex without suffering society's scorn.

why do women do that? why do they ask stupid, unimportant questions such as, "so, am i your girlfriend?" i mean really, what does the title mean and why do women desire it so much? you've been dating this chick for a month and she's already concerned about her status. this of course means she wants to tie you up and make sure you aren't with anyone else (if only she knew). women's possessiveness genes are huge and d2's certainly are fully functional.

"Am I your girlfriend?" Always a fun topic. Um only on Tuesdays. She must have felt slightly guilty about renegging on her "slow mover" comment. "If I give up the booty, Jono will make me his wife." Did you break it off with D1 (officially)? Did she make another list stating reasons why she is even more crazy?

Snow, people don't deal with snow here well. It's the "south" afterall. To make things better/worse we are not expected to get snow but instead, ice. I was told they have no means of dealing with that kind of weather. It will actually be quite comedic since I metro and could care less if I have to wear snow boots to work.

I will be working late. woo. 24 is heating up.

Had a meeting all morning.

Why I don't care about this snow other than I wish it would go away:
(1) My workplace has a history of NEVER giving weather-related days off. Mostly because 90+% of the workforce lives within 10 miles of the office. Therefore, my 1 hour commute becomes almost two due to the snow on the roads and poor maintenance.
(2) That leaves me with 2 options- Stay at work and drive home after it's been snowing all night and day, either getting in an accident or having it take me 2+ hours or I get to leave work early ad maybe take off tomorrow both which require me to use my very precious vacation days. So, gayness either way.
(3) I don't have a 3 day weekend.

Pardon my bitchyness, but this snow is making my life worse, not better.

As for D2, the moving away subject has been broached and it "really upsets" her. It didn't stop her from offering up the vagina platter though. Also, I stammered this weekend when she asked if she was my girlfriend, basically turning the question back onto her and never committing (but not saying "NO, you're not my girlfriend" a la Hafer/Crazaruso). Still, she didn't seem to mind. In any event, if I move, we'll remain friends or we won't. There will be no attempts at anything long distance related...

Where the heck is everyone today? We are on the eve of a major snowstorm that may result in a day working from home tomorrow and people are not posting? This is unacceptable. Also, we have an upcoming three day weekend thanks to some dead Presidents. Is there nothing worthy of comment today?
