With no disrespect to the judges, the way I see it is that the audience simply wants those heartbroken contestants to know that they did a great job.               • It means exactly what I said. Sometimes contestants don't get the placement that they earned. In this case, I think the audience now has a cumulative voice and want to make sure that those girls who ended up with the short end of the stick don't feel like they were less deserving. The audience is now using forums like this to continue to cheer on those that did not get the crown or the placement that the audience thought they deserved. We're kinda like arm-chair quarterbacks during the super bowl now. Get it? • Grecia has NEVER won a Platinum Pageant - what ties does she have. Has placed 1st runner up twice in Miss Edinburg (has now aged out) and once in South Texas.   • I'm sorry, I used to be a big time Grecia fan but when I heard that her mother was allowed backstage at the South Texas pageant and no other contestant was allowed to have that, I just felt it was strange. I am sure she a very nice girl, but is she doesn't want people to say she has ties to whatever pageant maybe she should not allow herself to become so involved behind the scenes and have special treatment.   • There have been many times when I have judged a pageant and the judges have shown surprised faces. Not always is it a unanimous expression, but more "what did you see that I didn't". That is why I love judges having different backgrounds from different areas. They always look for something special and every judge is different. I am not all that surprised when people say the judge's looked shocked, but like I said they might have been shocked for different reasons. All it takes is one judge to completely fall in love with a contestant or completely dislike a contestant for the line up to change. (NT) -- Observer, 09/ 9/07 4:45:31pm

• I really think you need to get your story straight... 1) Emeraulde worked EXTENSIVELY with Debi before competing. She was "at large" beacuse she didn't with the Miss RGV title 2) Debi is a WONDERFUL director and brings down excellent coaches for her girls (Don Baker, Nicole O'Brian, etc.) 3) Patty and Missy are both AMAZING women 4) If you haven't competed and experienced it, don't bash a director or anyone else in the pageant scene you don't know.   • The only person I know that helped Emeraude for Texas Teen USA was Cassidy. I was told that she showed her the modeling poses and what the runway looks like so when she got there she would know what's going on. • Narce, I don't know you personally, but I do know some people in the pageant world who think so highly of you and of your production. One of them is Mrs. Sarah Gomez of Raymondville, she has always spoken so dearly of you. I too was bashed on this board. I tried to figure out why and worried about what people were thinking of me! I went through a deep depression because of these comments and accusations! BUT, one day the good Lord prompted me to read Luke 6:35, and Romans 12:18-20. In which through Jesus, God is asking us to LOVE OUR ENEMIES AND THOSE WHO PERSECUTE US, AND TO FORGIVE THEM, AND BE KIND TO THEM. It was not unitl I got this revelation from God that I was able to live in FREEDOM! I encourage you to do the same. Pray for them and ask God to bless them and to forgive them because they really don't know what they are doing. Also, ask God to help you with your feelings becasue apart from Him, we are nothing.     • I disagree. Directors have every right to be on this board and furthermore, they and contestants are the only ones that I would recommend to remain annonymous on this board. This board is a forum for pageant discussions. It is not just for one group of gossipers. If I had my way, I'd remove all the chisme and talk about the good stuff but hey, that's just me. That's just my opinion. And that's the great thing about this board is that it is a forum of opinions. Some are good. Some are bad. But good directors shoudl be aware of all that is being said about them. They shouldn't believe all of it... but taking the time to listen to all of the comments is good for thier professional growth as a pageant director. I welcome them.
