Hey there! Hope you remember me. I lost track of you after Garden Center and couldn't think of any other way to contact you. Hope it's ok to use this forum, but I knew if I would find you anywhere, it would be here. Just wanted to see where you landed and how things are going. Hope you're doing well.
If I get a reply, I'll reply with my email.

If your asking yourself who is Carla? My good buddy Indiana Matt and Carla got ENGAGED last during the song Looks like Rain. Matt got up on stage and on Bended knee asked the question and he got the answer he was looking for, a YES!

Congrats from my Wife and I: and remember when things are tough.

You meet your soul mate. However, there is a catch: Every three years, someone will break both of your soul mate's collarbones with a Crescent wrench, and there is only one way you can stop this from happening: You must swallow a pill that will make every song you hear-for the rest of your life-sound as if it's being performed by the band Alice in Chains. When you hear Creedence Clearwater Revival on the radio, it will sound (to your ears) like it's being played by Alice in Chains. If you see Radiohead (or Mr. Blotto) live, every one of their tunes will sound like it's being covered by Alice in Chains. When you hear a commercial jingle on TV, it will sound like Alice in Chains; if you sing to yourself in the shower, your voice will sound like deceased Alice vocalist Layne Staley performing capella (but it will only sound this way to you). Would you swallow the pill?

Subject: 21 clues a woman should call it a nite

21 CLUES A WOMAN SHOULD CALL IT A NIGHT:

1. I have absolutely no idea where my purse is.

2. I believe that dancing with my arms overhead and wiggling my butt while yelling WOO-HOO is truly the sexiest dance move around.

3. I've suddenly decided I want to kick someone's ass and honestly believe I could do it.

4. In my last trip to pee I realize I now look more like Tammy Faye Baker than the goddess I was just four hours ago.

5. I drop my 3:00 a.m. burrito on the fast food floor, pick it up and keep on eating it.

6. I start crying and telling everyone I see that I love them sooooo much.

7. There are less than three hours before I'm due to start work.

8. I've found a deeper/spiritual side to the geek sitting next to me.

9. The man I'm flirting with used to be my 5th grade teacher.

10. The urge to take off articles of clothing, stand on a table and sing or dance becomes strangely overwhelming.

11. My eyes just don't seem to want to stay open on their own so I keep them half closed and think it looks exotically sexy.

12. I've suddenly taken up smoking and become really good at it.

13. I yell at the bartender, who (I think) cheated me by giving me just lemonade, but that's just because I can no longer taste the vodka.

14. I think I'm in bed, but my pillow feels strangely like the kitchen floor.

15. I start every conversation with a booming, DON'T take this the WRONG WAY but...

16. I fail to notice that the toilet lid's down when I sit on it.

17. My hugs begin to resemble wrestling take-down moves.

18. I'm tired so I just sit on the floor (wherever I happen to be standing) and take a quick nap.

19. I begin le! aving th e zipper down on my pants to cut down on the time I'm in the bathroom away from my drink.

20. I take my shoes off because I believe it's their fault that I'm having problems walking straight.

21. I start believing that everyone in the room wants to see my boobs.

If you laughed at the ones that remind you of someone...send this along to the girls (or guys) you know who like to have fun. Let them laugh at themselves too. (We all know who we are, or were...)

I'd like to get your thoughts on bands you'd like to see next year. The door is open for FJB and Blotto, but who would YOU put on that bill with them? One catch is that they need to have solid drawing power.

Names we're considering are Gov't Mule, Ekoostik Hookah, String Cheese Incident and a few others.

You're right, you guys do deserve to know about Alan and what's up with his latest departure. So let me say that without getting too awfully personal while at the same time not quoting the ever overused "artistic differences" stuff, let me try to walk down the middle a little bit, I hope this helps. Alan quit after the last Dreams show in Lockport. I was talking to a really cool couple after the show (she was a singer also) and off to my right I hear Chief and Alan having words and then Alan threw his money at Chief and in so many words said that he quit and then stormed off into the night. Minutes later he came back into the room and demanded his money which he had just thrown at Chief. I said Chief had it so go find him( I was having a nice conversation with these folks). Alan then accused me of everything under the sun including not having much talent and not being able to write music very well. This was funny to me but when he accused me of being dishonest with him I said "F-you". Then he said "be careful what you say to me Paulie" so I of course said "F-you, F-you" to see what would happen. He then showed me his fists with a motorcycle key sticking out of them as though his next move was to poke out my eye. I then told him that if he made a move in that direction that I would knock every tooth out of his head, so he ought to think about the next five minutes of his life really hard. Then Chief walked up and Alan demanded his money which Chief gave to him. Alan roared off into the distance and we kept an eye out on the way home for a motorcycle in the branches of trees along the road back to the highway, because we still care about the brother. That's more info than I set out to post and I hope it helps enlighten eveyone. More importantly, Tony Delumo is the new drummer. We LOVE him. He is picking up stuff really fast, has a big pocket to groove in and has already collaborated on writing a new tune with us. It's going to be great. Watch us in the near future, you will see a new energy and creative burst in this band that has had to run on 4 cylinders for too long and now will run on all five again.

Well, here we are once again. The daily heart attacks started last night from the Blue Jays game, but oh what a thriller.

The Sox sit 1 game back of the evil empire (my hated rivals) and host them for 3 at the Fens. I can't wait to watch the games this weekend.

Here's to hoping we sweep the Yanks and the Indians sweep the White Sox.

What would that mean? Yankess miss the playoffs with a $200+ million payroll. That would be something.

Does anyone have this show and would be willing to do a B&P? One of the first tapes given to me in '00 that turned me on to Blotto and a great show.

I'm heading back to the Left coast (San Diego) at the end of October. Hope to be back for Blottopia again next year. Was only able to catch about 5 Mr. Blotto shows this past six months while i've been in Bloomington, Il area.

so anyway, would love to get a copy of this before I head back west. Anyhelp is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Due to Mark's broken meta-tarsul bone in his foot (I'm so technical)tonight's gig at Mr. Kelley's Music Box has been cancelled and will be re-scheduled later. Sorry for any inconvenience and please pass the word on to all other Blotto people who may be going(not everyone checks this board). And next week we'll be fine as Mark gets back on his feet, foot, again. Peace out.

American Masters "Bob Dylan: No Direction Home"
WTTW11 / Network Chicago
September 26, 2005 9:00PM
September 27, 2005 12:00AM

No Direction Home is the ultimate rock & roll odyssey, the true story of how Bob Dylan transformed himself and the art of songwriting amid the chaos and unlimitied possibilities of America in the 1960s. Masterfully directed by Martin Scorsese, this is an electrifying account of an unprecedented life.
