Subject: Keith News and Updates from around the net


Hey gang!

I wanted to start a thread where we can post news and updates that we find at other websites. If you want to post a link, feel free (no swiffers for that here), but unless you know how to embed the HTML in the subject line, just copy it into the message box and we can copy/paste it into our browsers.

Keith seems to be pretty busy promoting "LP&TWCT", calling radio stations just about every day, so if you know of a station that's going to do an interview, please let us know and maybe we can "listen live". He's scheduled to call into KTOM in San Jose this morning, but I just checked and they don't have a "listen live" link, darnit!

Also the "official site" ( www.keithurban.net ) is also working hard for the fans. Did you know that every day between now and Nov 7, you can watch a new 30 second video of Keith in the studio recording? (that's a new vid every day!) If you are a member of Monkeyville, you can go back thru the Cinema section and catch up on any you miss. This is REALLY cool! I have a really good feeling about the updates and revamping of the "Dot Net" site.

Okay, y'all - let's keep each other informed! And don't be shy about where you find stuff. I have no issues w/ other boards or sites so post away!

On the left hand side there's a black search box - type in Keith's name. Then click on the album cover. (your iTunes software should be open already) The album will come up with "buy" for the whole album and "buy now" for each track. PLUS you can listen to a 30 second clip of each track, INCLUDING a BONUS TRACK available only thru iTunes.

Now, where's my credit card....?

If the download hadn't been closed, too many people in the US would have found a way to access it (by breaking iTunes registration rules, or usage rules), and would not have gone out to buy the actual album, thus lowering those all-important first day/week sales. We all want Keith's album to debut at #1 on the country charts, and in the top 5 on the all-genre chart, and people have to buy it from a retailer in order for it to do that.

You can, however, PRE-Order the iTunes version, which includes THREE bonus features: a bonus track, a "making of" video, and a "digital photo booklet" (in place of the booklet that normally comes w/ a CD). So if you're an iTunes type of person, then by all means, pre-order.

I will say that after the sneak-preview I got from listening to the 30 second snippets of each track, I am anxiously awaiting Nov 7th!!
