Subject: Feel Free To RANT here....

Okay, y'all - here's your opportunity to rant and rave about Keith's opening act for the spring portion of his 2008 tour!!! (I'm so sick of her, I can't even say her name)

Should I start? Why not.

WHO'S GREAT IDEA WAS THIS???!! If there's one thing Keith DOESN'T need is the Simon Cowell Marketing Machine steamrollering all over his tour. Not to mention the inevitable scarcity of tix due to the huge draw she is bound to generate.

And I'm NOT liking the fact that her fans feel the need to come over to Keith's CMT board and tell us all how we should feel about it if we're not happy w/ it. I've already been lectured about being closed-minded and disrespectful simply because I could care less about her and DON'T want her anywhere near my enjoyment of Keith.

It's as if someone has just handed me the most luscious chocolate milkshake EVER, and then after my first sip plunked a handful of lima beans into it. As Charlie Brown says: AAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!

Okay, anyone else wanna comment? Feel free. No one will give you a hard time about your opinion.

I totally agree with you Feathers. Although I rooted for Carrie when she was on AI I have now reached my saturation point. She has been pushed down our throats ad nausium. I don't believe I'm alone when I say she has received too much, too soon without paying her dues like the normal artist has to do. I'm so tired of hearing her that all her songs are beginning to sound alike to me. The same thing happened with Gretchen Wilson when she first hit the scene. She won everything and was The Thing. Now she gets no nominations and is almost a has-been. The same thing will happen to Carrie when the next big thing comes along.

Thank God I will be seeing Keith in Knoxville and Nashville in a couple of weeks with Gary Allen opening for him. I really like Gary and am glad he will get almost an hour to do his thang. Then we get 2 to 2 1/2 hours of Keith. When he co-headlines with her I'm sure they will get equal time. Which means less of Keith to accomodate her show. No Thank You!!!

[> [> Thanks for coming by, Penny. "Saturation point" is a great way of putting it. AI pretty much turned on the firehose with her and didn't give anyone a choice. I much rather like a small steady stream to start with and decide for myself if I want to open the tap a little more, or less. -- Feathers, 13:29:28 11/14/07 Wed [1]

[> I just have to wonder, as a co-headliner is she really reaady to financially contribute to half of a big tour like Keith's or will he be picking up the tab while she mooches off his resources. They aren't coming ner me but I wouldn't go see her anyway. When she performs on award shows she is so boring to watch. Miranda has more energy and more of a stage presence (which she atributes from touring with Keith). Maybe Carrie will learn a few things. -- Texas_Cheryl, 12:39:22 11/19/07 Mon [1]

[> [> Of course she has the financial resources - she's a Simon Puppet - the man who's sold more records than any other act combined, according to His Grand Grumpiness Himself. They might have to drop a few hours off their "All Carrie, All the Time" CMT days in order to cover it..... Then again, all she needs on stage is a mic and a karaoke machine.... -- Feathers (feeling snarky today), 09:31:58 11/20/07 Tue [1]
