Subject: "State of the KLUB" address....


Dear KLUBbers...

I know most of us come from other KU boards and this is just a pleasant side trip. This may not be your KU "home board", but you stop by when you can. Plese know that I have appreciated everyone's participation, no matter how small. This is my first experience as a head moderator on a public board, and you all have been easy to work with. Thank you!

I originally set this place up for the kind of discussions that we can't have at other boards, for fanfic, and for general drooling. And for getting to know each other, too. Things have really settled down since June 25th, tho (is that crickets I hear? LOL). This place will never be the first place for KU news, but it's just not a high-traffic site. I'm not thinking of shutting down, just trying to collect opinions and thoughts from you all.

What more can I do to make this a favorite stop??

What kinds of things would you like to see here?

What kinds of posts make you want to participate?

More pictures or no pictures? (okay, that's an easy one! LOL)

Basically, what can I do to make this board a place where you'll keep coming back and participate more and more.

Well let's see Feathers, I believe Aussie Chick had/is about to have baby, KP is in the process of getting divorced, think I heard ChesneyGirl has a man in her life, and I worked almost 100 hours last week. (I'll have my 40 hours in by Wed of this week - so lots of ot this week too.) If you could lengethen the day, hummm, and possibly the week too, to give us more time for fun stuff like the board that would help emensly!

I finally broke down and went to the cmt board this week for the first time in many many months to hear how the album preview went. (I won't go back anytime soon.) There's been no print media coverage of it that I can find. Don't feel singled out. I just don't think many of us have the time to spend on the boards like we used to and we aren't making the time either.

We still love you though. Maybe life will slow down soon and we can return to our fun corner parties.

Feathers, I usually come here to lurk, I really only posted on MAKU, not sure why, it just felt right. I am not sure what to do with myself now, I will try to join in more here.Thank you for continuing what you do here. You may find more friends stopping in!

I was shocked as well....one of the other girls on the MAKU board told me about this site so I thought I would come over and check it out.

There are so many other places to find news and information, and the posters at CMT are never at a loss for "corner-type comments". Plus, the addition of NKU to the mix of daily stops for dedicated Urbanites kind of stole the spotlight as well. For a while I just didn't have anything new to say that wasn't being said elsewhere. Hopefully that will change with that new-music infusion that you mentioned, Bird!

Can't wait to digest and dissect those new songs with y'all!!
