Thank God it was Friday. It had been the longest day ever, ok the longest week ever. Nothing was going right and anything that had the potential to go right, failed in the end. I was all alone in the studio, just me and my hundreds of listeners. The night was warm, and the smell the spring filled the air. Usually I keep the doors locked if I am alone, tonight I must have forgotten, or it was fate. Not long after 8:00 I heard what sounded like footsteps in the hall. I couldn't be sure, afterall I have the tendency to hear things when I am all alone. No it was footsteps and someone humming a tune. Maybe it was one of the other DJ's. Maybe they forgot something. I kept working and playing music and laughing with my listeners, out of the corner of my eye I caught his face. Startled I grabbed for my phone, prepared to dial for help if need be. I looked up again and he was gone. The face I saw, was chiseled, harmless looking, and some what scruffy, he had longish hair with highlights in it. Very handsome but, mysterious. I vowed to drink no more coffee. Going back to work, I heard the faints sounds of someone tapping on the glass. I slowly looked up and was staring straight into the eyes of this man. He motioned for me to come to him, something in those eyes put me at ease. The closer I got the more I realized that it looked an awful like Kieth Urban. IMpossible, I thought. But once I heard his sweet, aussie accent, there was no further mistake on my part. He apologized for scaring me, and said that his bus had overheated and he needed to find a phone book. I escorted him to my office and offered him my phone and a book, and a cup of coffee. After a few minutes he said help was on the way, he wondered if his band and himself could come inside to wait. He didn't have to ask twice, my listeners got a surprise that night, Keith and his band gladly did an improv concert in the studio. When help arrived and they set on their way, he gave me a hgue hug and thanked me for all that I did. Turns out my week of nothing going right ended perfect.
