Subject: OK guys I need you now, really really bad.

If yall could send a hug my way it would be very much appriciated. Lets see my world is crashing down around me um problem # 1 I made and idiot out of myself infront of the guy I was gonna try to get to go out with me today, but thats a really long story. Um problem # 2, that same guy and like 4 others in the band I was supposed to be singing in this Sunday just bailed out on me to go sing at that one guys church but I have to be the entertainer at our church so I'm leading a freaking band with one days notice, 1 guitarist, 3 female singers and absolutly nothing else. Oh might I add there will be about 40 people there and this is the first time I've sang in public. Ummmm problem # 3 well all the plans that I had for this week just flew out the window cause they all were based around this stupid gig. Well I'm gonna go cry/mourn so just send those hugs in my direction please.

Well, when it rains it sometimes pours, sweetie. Let's handle these problems one at a time, shall we?

1. We've all done embarassing things around the object of our affections: let one accidently rip, walked around with an open fly, tripped down a flight of steps, etc. but that just means we're human. And if being human prevents him from liking you, well, imagine walking around for the rest of your life with your butt cheeks clenched...lol

2. So they bailed on you and this is your first time performing in public? Well, just think of this as your chance to be in the spotlight, to show everyone what you and two other girls and one guitarist can do! Sometimes there's nothing better than an acappela performance to show off your talents and give the audience goose bumps in the process. And, having a single guitar can still be beautiful; Keith has proved this many a time...You can make this work, Sarah!

3. So, make new plans! Even better plans! Think about how impressed these guys that jumped ship will be when they find out that you did an awesome performance even without them...They'll be impressed and a whole lot jealous actually...This should erase whatever foolish thing you did earlier for sure!

You can do this, Sarah! You have enough tenacity to make this work...Let us know how it goes, okay? Oh and I'm sending you a great big hug your way, too...

It was nothing like that, It was something I said. Faith said it really wasnt that big of a deal and I didn't make a fool of myself, but I think I did, I just probably confused the heck out of him. Email her for the full story if you want to, I'm so sick of recapping it to everyone. I'm gonna live, plus he is like the kindest person I have ever met so none of those things would prevent him from liking me. Yeah, I'm just scared for this Sunday, actually terrified is more like it. Sigh, email Faith it will all make more sense then.

Bird is right in each of her points, and all that kinda stuff is just what life's all about. If you happen to see this guy again soon, try the "self-depreciating" approach: "I'm sorry if I confused you the other day - I made such a fool of myself, didn't I?" Chances are he'll say "No you didn't," and all will be right with the world. Maybe he likes girls who bumble at times but knows they're sincere. I mean, Sandra Bullock's clumsy characters always get the guy, right?

I was going to say the same thing about one guitar being beautiful. Keep the songs and chords simple, and focus on vocal harmony. It's church, and all we have to do is make a "joyful NOISE". Perfection is NOT required. And relax. No one is going to think any less of you for getting up there and playing, in fact, you'll probably receive numerous compliments afterwards by people who think "I could never do what she just did".

Sigh, I decided I'm gonna go through with it. I was considering bailing too, but now that would just be rude of me. There might be 2 guitars, and I found us another vocalist so there will be 2 guitars and 4 singers. Actually there still might only be one guitar, it depends how well I can learn the chords in 2 hours. LOL. This is gonna be hard but I'm gonna do it. I just cant live up to these guys standards, they are so awesome.

I hope you did well this morning! And I hope you realized that human standards are not what you should be trying to live up to. You are your own unique individual and you have your own story to tell and own WAY of telling it. No matter how it turned out, you will have learned something about committment, keeping promises, and taking risks.

I wasn't supposed to sing until tonight, but turns out everybody had plans for what was to happen tonight and didn't tell Levi (band leader) and me. So we were in the dark, here is what is gonna happen, I will not be singing tonight instead two other girls will be. So I will be singing next week with the band, like I thought would be happening for this week. So things are gonna work out even better now than I thought they were origionally gonna be with me singing with the band this week. Its all so confusing so I was somewhat upset when someone forgot to call me to tell me what was going on cause I had like the biggest freakout in the history of mankind. Yeah. So things are all better, amazing what a few hugs and a whole lot of prayers can do. Oh but I caught a nasty cold yesterday so I need to get better before next weekend.

God just wants you to trust Him! You went into it thinking you'd have to do one very difficult thing, and when he saw you were willing and available, he worked it out in an even better way. It's not quite as serious (?) but it's very similar to what happened to Abraham when God sent him and Isaac up the mountain for that sacrifice - without an animal! God provided for him, and for you.

It wasn't at all as big as that but it was the same ummm . . . idea, is that the word for it? I don't know, but things are gonna work out a whole lot better than I had hoped. Soooooooooo much better.

I'm already feeling better, my colds clearing up really quick, I have a tendancy to worry myself sick, seriously I do, its kind of odd and annoying but it happens. So all is good in my life again.
