Things were quite a mess in Waco, Texas on Friday for Keith Urban. While notorious for his perfectionism when it comes to his music, his sound check was anything but perfect. Urban had equipment problems that delayed the start of the show. To make things worse, he had woman problems as well. As previously mentioned in the Tattler, Chad Jeffers (Urban’s guitarist) had taken up with a Texas gal. It was also previously reported that they had bought a house together in Nashville. While traveling with Jeffers this past week on Urban’s tour, the Texas gal has caught the eye of the leading man. Insiders report that Urban is quite smitten with the woman as well. “He’s just sick about it. He knows Chad is in love with her, but he can’t seem to take his eyes off of her”, an insider reports. Tex has proved so distracting that Urban demanded she leave sound check on Friday. Though she had been sitting quietly in the stands, her mere presence proved to be unnerving. Our spies report that while Urban tried to concentrate on his equipment he kept looking at her, finally pointing her out to a road manager. The young woman was escorted out of the arena. Will this love triangle end in disaster? Will Jeffers send Tex packing back to the land of George Strait? With three more weeks to go the chances of an implosion are likely.

The plot thickens in the Keith Urban vs. Chad Jeffers and his Texas girlfriend saga. It turns out Tex has quite a connection to Mr. Urban, other than dating a member of his band. Last week the Tattler published as exclusive report on Urban’s visit to the private club, “the corner” on Australia Day. Following that report several other publications, who shall go unnamed, detailed an account of Urban waking up with several women in his bed. Insiders report that a few of the “corner girls” may have been the women referred to in the story. One insider reports, “It was a wild night, Tex knew all about it but had plans that night so she didn’t come the corner, but she definitely came to the after party.” How involved she was in the after party is being disputed. She claims to have only held the camera; however, others report she joined in the fun. Tex herself remains silent on the matter, refusing to dignify such speculation with a response. But how long will Jeffers will wait for an answer remains to be seen
