I remember waiting in anticipation while the EOY award was announced. I remember jumping up when they called his name. I loved the look on his face, him hugging his mom and then Kenny. I loved the way he was really trying to hold it together as he began his speech and then composed himself towards the end.

I even called Mo, who lives three timezones away and was just tuning in. I couldn't keep it to myself! It was just too exciting!!! Of course, she kinda guessed what had happened when the phone rang at excatly 3 minutes after 8 PT. LOL What a thrill to be a fan at the time of such an historic win for him!

O wow, the CMAs, that was a life changing night, not only for Keith but also for me. That was the first time I saw him (well I always sorta knew what he looked like) but this was the first time I saw him preform, and actually do anything else. O wow then I heard his voice, I was hooked. I had no Idea that he was austrailian, before that night. At first, I burst out laughing in disbelief, hes sounds so i dunno american when he sings, no accent at all. I recorded the CMAs the next time they reshowed it. I replayed that part over and over and over. Well I've been a huge fan ever since, but then life became a living hell with all theses rumors floating around, tabloids, people mentioning it just to get you mad, but finally it has eased down a bit. The CMAs are my fondest Keith memory so far.
