Well ladies it’s Sunday morning and its pouring down rain. While that familiar song winds it’s way through my thoughts, I decided to stick to my word and dig up a story I had been saving for a rainy day very much like this one. As you know, Keith and I met in a local Nashville café, but that is all you know, until now.

The radiant sunrays shining trough the windshield felt warm and blissful as they vividly danced across my skin. I had been a rough morning, they had tried to stop me from leaving but just as they had turned their backs on me, I turned my back to them and left. My boyfriend swore he would find me, and bring me home when he did. I laughed to myself, I seriously doubted that. He couldn’t find his way out of a paper bag to save his life, let alone go tromping across the country in search of me. He didn’t know where I was going, nobody did, except for me and my corgi dog sitting in the passenger seat. For once in my life I was free. I wound down my window and stuck my favorite CD in. It was time I started living my life to it’s fullest, my days were rushing by way to fast and it was time for me to jump on the bandwagon. I flipped through the songs until I reached the one that had made me take a good long look at my life and how I was living it. I turned up the volume until my music was blaring. I let my hair down from it’s usual ponytail so it swirled about my head, and I sang out loud:
I’m changing lanes and talking on the
phone and I’m driving way to fast.
I laughed aloud for the first time in a long time. I felt free and happy, ready to take control of my life and make my mark on the world. A few months back I had bought a gorgeous farm house on the outskirts of Nashville it had a good deal of property with it also. It was ready to live in, it had just been waiting for me to put it to use. That time was now. The place I had left had been full of people who didn’t believe in me or my dreams. And now I was headed to the only place where my dreams had a chance to come true. My dog stuck his head out the window and started to bark along with the music. Tag, I said laughing, You gotta calm down. He sat back down on the seat, and looked at me with his tail wagging. He was just as excited as I was. It was a good day. I could sense something great was going to happen.

About 15 minutes later I was headed through town, when I spotted a small café. A cappuccino sounded really good to me at the moment. My hair was a disaster but it still looked good. I wound up the windows and jumped lightly out of the truck. I felt so awake and lively. I walked into the air conditioned store and took a deep breath in. Coffee houses always smelled so good. The place was empty except for a few workers and a ragged looking man standing in front of the counter. He caught my eye although all I could see of him was the back of his head. He had beautiful blond hair falling down in different lengths around his shoulders, but he was covering it with a tattered black ball cap. For some reason his appearance rang a bell. I enthusiastically walked up to the counter and stood next to the mystery man. I was bouncing up and down on the heels of me feet. I placed my order and glanced sideways but he was looking away from me. His hair was so beautiful, gorgeous dark brown and golden locks floating lightly around his neck and shoulders. Here’s your cappuccino mam. I jerked back into consciousness. O, thanks, I said. I could feel the mystery mans stare on the side of my face. I turned away still not looking at him, now I felt in the mood for a good flirt session. I was definitely up to the task. I took a seat in a booth so my back was to him. I heard footsteps come up behind me. May I sit down, he asked. He had the sexiest voice I had ever heard. A faint accent lacing it and adding a relaxed edge to it. Sure, I said. Sighing, I was too easy, I thought to myself, ruling out all possibilities of playing hard to get. I leaned my elbows on the table and took a sip from my cup. As he slid in across from me I glanced up to see who exactly this stranger was.
