I like to get him in a good mood before I put in a work request. Like make him a great dinner and mid-meal I mention how the lawn needs to be mowed. Or after sex when we are in the shower I'll say, "baby, if you aren't to busy tomorrow could you..." works every time. Yesterday I got him to get the cell phone repaired, go to the pharmacy and pick up the dog's medication at the vet's office. Needless to say I am a little sore this afternoon.

I always have requests when I am "busy" on him, he always says yes dear. Works everytime!

When he met back in 91, I had just broke up with a guy that I adored, long story short I caught him in bed with friend. So I was on the rebound big time. I did things to make Billy so mad, so when I met Chris, it really pissed him off. Billy wanted me back so bad he could taste it. Chris fought for me, literally. It came down to blows one night and I was torn so he knows how lucky he is to have me. I never bitch at him or tell him what to do, and we have a great relationship, we have had our moments but we always get back on track. We split up several years ago, for about a month and a half. After that we have been stronger than ever. So if I make a teeny request of him he doesn't usually get mad, BUT it definately helps to work him over once to get it done faster.

My hubby works at an industial plant and talkes to his co-workers a lot. They all have terrible marriages. He knows that compared to them we have a great relationship, though we have our occasional blow outs. We've only been married for 2 1/2 years but I've been with him since I was 17 and he was 20. He knows he is very lucky too.

So many of our friends have divorced and let me tell you that is tough for us! We end up not speaking to either side because it causes conflicts between us. We have been together for 15 years married for 9. We were both young when we got together, and we strayed from time to time and broke up alot back then, but when I got pregnant, things changed. After our split a few years ago, we have vowed to be honest with each other and be open, so far so good!

I don't usually like Montgomery Gentry but I really like their single, "she don't tell me too". That's us totally.

Chris says it reminds him of me! Weird!

I think I've mastered the power of suggestion. Some of my friends marvel and the things I get him to do for me when their own lazy SOB husbands won't get off the couch.

Mine is not lazy he gets stuff done and hates to have anything unfinished. I am the same way to a point. I am meticulous about my house, it has to be neat. I guess we are lucky to have husbands like that, things could have been worse if I hadn't stayed with him, funny how thinigs work out, isn't it?

We are so alike it is scary. I am meticulous about my house too. We bought our first home last year and I am very proud of it. Even when I think it is messy (we have 3 dogs) and someone stops by they comment on how clean it is. I'm thinking, yeah right, there are about 5 things I could do right now to make it look better.

When I first got together with Edwin my friends and family didn't want me with him. We were living in SC at the time and I was a good (kind of), smart, upper middle class girl from Connecticut. He was a high school drop out with a GED from the other side of the tracks. His mom is a crack head and he lived in a trailer all his life. He had been on his own since he was 17. At the time he was working 80 hours a week managing a flea market. He was dating a friend of a friend at the time and we met at her house. I convinced him to break up with her a few days later and we've been together since.

We bought ours two years ago, it is the house of my dreams. We have a pool and a huge yard, 4 bedrooms two baths the island in the kitchen I love it. But I am always cleaning!! Chris and I both have similiar backgrounds his mom didn't like me because I was 2 years older, she was afraid I would corrupt him, HA he was just as wild as I was! He has been my rock for years. I have a very dysfunctional family. When I lost my mom last July, he let me have my space and let me go away for a few days, he is an amazing man. I am blessed to have this life I lead. Things could have turned out so much worse.
