who are you? You seem to think you've got some kind of inside knowledge into what has to happen in order for this radio station to continue "Now two things have to happen" & so are you some expert in radio? Being someone who listens to "Sirius radio" I have to wonder about your taste to start with. Looking back through the posts here you've been having a problem with the come back of 101.1 since before it came back.
You seem to feel that this station isn't playing "oldies" because you'd only heard 1 song from the 50's yesterday, but see the thing is that to the new generations the 60's & 70's IS oldies! It's because you're old that you don't see them the same way. I too love the 50's stuff but 1960's & 1970's music is that which I was reared on & while I remember it fondly I still recognize it as "oldies". I remember well my mother (who's 76 yrs. old) boppin to "Groovin" by The Young Rascels which we just heard! Not everyone caved into the "Sirius radio" think & paid to hear their music risking the end of free radio but rather we just listened on our computers when we could & to CD's in the car. Of course not all were ready for a 2 year break in the oldies music genre and I'm now listening to "the Supremes" which I hadn't heard in 2 years! I'm extremely grateful!

The 1960's & 1970's music was a part of WCBS from long before it had left us & was certainly a part of the reason it became the "station to sing along to" & if you don't know the words perhaps it's because you're having a memory problem after all they say with age it's the first thing to go. :)

You're a self admitted pessimist spreading your depression on what is a celebratory occasion go back to your "Sirius radio" and take the whinning with you.
