How true. I wrote to them many, many, times complaining that they were driving away listeners with their obsessive and incessant "tweaks" to the playlist.

In the end, CBS-FM was lacking identity. They had DJs who appealed to folks growing up in the late 50's through late 60's. However, the music they played was mostly from the 70's and 80's. Imagine, Cousin Brucie, playing 80's hits for to a 60's audience.

WCBS-FM failed due to their own mismanagement, not due to listener apathy. Many listeners were being driven away by the poor decisions made by CBS-FM's senior staff.
