Subject: I don't agree that Savitar is going to take over for Ash once Ash gets his books. Unlike the Hunters who get their souls back and become mortal -- Ash is first and foremost a god. So, that whole immortality thing isn't an issue for him. Plus, just because he finds his soulmate doesn't mean that there's an end to all the strife. I think it's entirely probable that he and his-as-yet-confirmed-heroine will be in the thick of things for many books to come. Just because Alexion has Danger doesn't mean that he's any less the defender for Ash. On the other hand, I think Savitar is one heck of an interesting man..er..god...um..being? It will be terrific to see him over several books.

[> I thought that it was interesting that Savitar was presiding over the Omegrion and is a mentor of sorts to Ash. He holds a great deal of power from what we have seen so far. I brought up the question of Savitar taking Ash's place earlier, but I'm not sure that he doesn't already do a lot of "behind the scenes" work. I wonder about a connection between Archon (Ash's father) and Savitar. I have to look up the info, but there was a bit where he says he makes chaos from order and order from chaos etc....and that sounds like Archon's bio on the Katoteros website. I may just be grasping straws by trying to connect the two of them. -- ~Sarah R.~, 23:15:44 01/01/06 Sun [1]
