Definitely! - The U.K. does have an active Olympic level Bobsled / Luge / Skeleton club that offer trips ice-luge training camps in Europe. Mainly Germany and Norway.

Unfortunately ice luge is INCREDIBLY expensive, so most of the top U.K. riders are from the Armed Forces - the M.O.D. picks up the cost.(The G.B. Olympic 4-Man bobsled even has the R.A.F. roundels on the sides!).

This U.K. army sponsorship contrasts sharply to the situation in the U.S.A. - where most of the top ice luge riders are independent, paying their way through sponsorship, promotion - or out of their own pockets.

Not sure if the M.O.D. would be too keen on a 'crossover' deal with U.K. streetlugers? Might be better to approach them through the British Sports Council, or the Olympic Committee...

Anyway - everybody knows that the Germans are the best at Ice Luge. The three times Olympic champion Georg Hackl is a national hero over there. He is most famous for MAKING all of his own equipment himself. So maybe the Ice Luge riders are not so different from us after all?

Didn't Mr Cool go and have a go at 'Skeleton Luge' with that bunch of nutters down at Bath Uni. last year?

I think they had a short section of indoor bobsled track to practice starts on, or something like that? Didn't they import the water from Salt Lake City in preparation for the 2002 Winter Olympics.

P.S. By the way – Ding currently has a number of genuine Olympic Ice Luge helmets for sale. Complete with removable one-piece transparent face shields, for the ultimate in all-round visibility! Would be a very cool accessory for Buttboarding at 'Hot Heels' this summer. Gimme a call if you want one...
