There's a bunch of swedish streetluge kids (not sure about the whole kids thing, but there all under 50 i think) whos been in contact with the ice luge guys over here and has joined there club/association. Which in turn gave them membership in the national sport assoc (i guess it's the same as the british sports council or whatever you call it). Anyway it seems like that sorted all their problems with insurance and it also gave them a much heavier voice when talking to the local authorities about organising races and stuff. They have a national big club meeting tomorrow and after that were off for a freeride session in a small local hill just outside of stockholm.

(Hey, someone said a few weeks ago about freeride sessions rather then competitions. And I think the format of Chris n Johns event in Waled b4 xmas (the christmas bash??) was excellent. Just ride and have fun for the whole weekend. Personally I cant just see the need for a national (or even international) point system as it all seems to bring up too much hassle. So why cant we just ride and have fun. Then again, I shan't really open my mouth 'cos im only in your country for 30weeks a year and while im there i tend to spend most of my time studying. But I have to say that I really appreciate what everything is doiing for hte sport since I have a hard time getting out riding on my own).

Tom, do you have any photos of those iceluge helmets? And a price? do they have the same low visibility as the polaris wedge helmets that most guys seem to be using?

Cheers,
anders
