Well done mate. If you need any help with welding, etc. Just ask.
BGSA rules are "fluid" at the moment, ie under discussion, but the current thoughts are no suspension, and "stock" parts must be used, ie frames stay unmodified. AND no welding, except the addition of lever brake "stubs" to the front forks, for safety purposes.
Our "stock" bike is constructed to this formula. Drop handlebars seem to work well, and if you use those "bar ends" from the end of flat handlebars, and put one of them in the seat post, then you'll see that you can adjust your saddle backwards to suit your bum!
The next class, the Americans call the 3/4 faired class, permits all sorts of alterations and I would prefer to call it the "Open" class, but that might cause confusion! I confess this is the class I like. If you want to go in this class, send me two frames and your forks, and I'll weld you one up.... but it'll cost you a pint or four!!
