(She nodded as she listened to Mairah and felt that warm, fuzzy feeling inside that all girls got when they talked about the way their men made them feel.. it was the feeling that made her want to run to Loch and kiss him just because she could. She had seen that myriad of behaviors run through the young lad from the moment he had arrived until they had left the dinner table.) Aye, he's still young.. I bet if ye asked him he's ne'er thought about marraige before he met ye. (She smiled knowingly, Loch had been the same way. So headstrong and cocksure about the entire relationship.. they had run straight into marraige and then suddenly the two of them had been scared kids wondering what they had done. When the lass got that soft expression and spoke of her husband's affection for her eyes, she just gazed her at her and smiled.) Och.. now I know we're goina have to get ye something pretty to wear to make that lad's eyes pop out of his head.. (She giggled and tipped back her lemonade, her eyes watching the lass knowingly.) (He sputtered a little bit as Loch put a word to the emotions he had been feeling more and more as he spent time with Mairah.. his immediate reaction was a simple one.) Och.. tis nay love.. mayhap a strong affection.. (He trailed off and got a sort of dumbstruck expression as his mind argued with him and he wondered if perhaps loch wasn't right. If he was in love with her then what did that mean? He had never been in love before and it sort of scared him to feel it now. He looked over at Loch as the man kept talking and arched a brow.. what if Mairah didn't love him back and didn't mind having other men look at her? She was young and could have any man she wanted, and yet she had ended up with him after a night of drunken immaturity.. he didnt think he could bear it to see her run off with some other man. He didn't answer Loch's statement about knowing that he was the only one that Rhia came home to because he was feeling a bit insecure about what was between him and Mairah.. what would happen if someone tried to court her? He coulnt help but smile a little as he mentioned her eyes though.) I love her eyes.. every time I look at her I get lost in them.. (He said the words without thinking, but felt stupid for saying them when he did, taking a hit off the cigar and clearing his throat.. he was starting to sound like a lovesick teenager.)
