"He's...he's reassuring.." She frowned, trying to figure out exactly what it was that made her stick so close to Griogiar's side. "He's comforting and makes me feel safe, you know?" A small smile tipped up the side of her lips, her eyes turning thoughtful. "He's such a mix of things, you know? Like one minute he's king of the castle, in control of everything and intent on staying that way and the next he's just a guy wanting to have fun and the next he's a young man, unsure of himself and a little awkward..." She smiled a little more, her hand playing over the glass, letting her fingers play in the condensation. "He said he likes my eyes..." Not many people said they liked her eyes, plenty commented on how unique or strange they were but rarely didn anyone say they liked them. "Aye, overwhelming to suddenly be in love, isna lad?" He winked lightly, the lad may not confess with his mouth that he was in love but he obviously either was or very close to being on the brink of it. The only thing that concerned Gavin was that they were both very young and that made him worry that it wasn't a 'mature' love it was more a young love and those were hard to keep going once the novelty wore off. "Ye'll be fightin' off every lad who looks at her then. Believe me, I know how it feels to watch another man look at yer wife and want to lay into him but I started just being happy and pretty damn cocky over the fact that they could look all the wanted but I was the one who kissed her and touched her at night." He grinned at that, raising his glass as if in a 'cheers' before he set it back down with a laugh, thinking about Mairah's eyes. "Ye knew her mother made her wear colored contacts until about two years ago...to make people stop talking and gossiping about her..all the rumors of her being a witch and such..."
