(He shifted as she spoke and quietly moved to lay beside her on the bed, almost hesitant as he cuddled up to her on the outside of the blankets and wrapped his arm around her, closing his eyes as he pressed his forehead to her temple. He was worried, really really worried.. and it wasn't like him to feel like this. He had sat beside Remy in the hospital countless times.. had been there when his Godson was born and had himself been tortured to the point of, and past the point, of death.. and yet seeing her sweating and asking for his comfort broke something in him. It was that he felt helpless again.. he needed to feel like he was fighting something, that he had something to win.. without a foe he wasn't able to play the hero and that hurt him desperately. His hand moved up and down her arm on the outside of the blanket and after a few moments he started to hum to her, just a little melody that he remembered from when he was little.. something to comfort them both.) (She let out a sigh as she looked at him, smiling softly as he stretched out beside her. It struck her as she looked into his eyes that she was being selfish.. she wasn't completely looking out for him by comforting him the way she was.. she was benefiting from it and making things harder on him. He had a girlfriend out there that was in love with him.. well at least one of her current personalities was. And yet, when he spoke to her she laughed softly and nodded.) I think you should.. (Her eyes were sparkling as she watched him, enjoying the way he made her feel so important, so safe and so feminine. Gia had better watch her back, if she was going to keep running Skeeter in circles she was going to have Courtney standing in her way.)
